Walking and cycling can be done in the nearby nature reserves Alde Feanen, Bakkeveen, Beetsterzwaag and Lauwersmeer. A day in Ameland or Schiermonnikoog is also great to do. Culture can be gained in Groningen, Leeuwarden and Heerenveen (about 25 minutes). Surhuisterveen is about 2 km away and has a shopping center with supermarkets, restaurants and all kinds of shops. You must arrange breakfast yourself.

The Tiny House is tastefully decorated and has a bedroom with two single beds. Bathroom attached to the bedroom. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, toilet and a washbasin. The cottage is heated by central heating. The Frisian Forest is not yet so touristy, close to Lauwersmeer or the boat to the Wadden island of Schiermonnikoog.
