Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Alameda County

I visit the Berkeley area often and chose Kate’s place because of the proximity to my destination. I enjoyed how private the Airbnb felt while still being so close to restaurants and shopping. In previous reviews others had mentioned the temperature of the home but I had no problems at all. As long as you follow the very simple instructions from Kate, the home is as warm (or cool) as you wish it to be. The soaking tub was so relaxing and sitting by the fireplace was the perfect way to end each day . I did not cook while I was there but can attest that Uber Eats and Door Dash found the home and door with ease. I would definitely stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our stay! Noah’s house was so thoughtfully organized and decorated. It had everything we needed, and we felt comfortable and at home. Noah was very responsive, though we didn’t have any questions or issues during our stay given that everything was as pictured and described and Noah sent clear and helpful instructions before we checked in. The neighborhood was lovely too. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved this stay! Beautiful home and amenities! Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a place in the Bay Area. Zep was polite and responsive. The house was kid proof which was huge since we were traveling with 2 toddlers.

Mark's place was perfect for us. It is so convenient to absolutely everything (wide variety of restaurants, specialty shops, Trader Joe's, Safeway) including the Rockridge BART station (2 1/2 easy blocks) which is a direct (the yellow line), if long ride, from SFO. It was spotlessly clean. Any questions we had, Mark responded immediately. The hot tub is clean and private. We used it a couple of times. The bed is very comfy as is the couch. A huge screen, which we never did use, but it's there with complete instructions sent via Airbnb. One thing to note, it is a basement apartment. It's not dark, but you will always need lights on. If that's the area of town you want to be in, this is a pretty perfect spot. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We spent a week this time.

Don & Lori are such incredible hosts! Our trip ended up being shorter than anticipated, and I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. I was traveling with my dog & foster dog and the park across the street was so perfect! The neighborhood was so peaceful and walkable and we had such a peaceful night’s rest. The home felt like staying with a family member and had so many great touches of home and the hosts communication was exceptional. I arrived late in the dark & they put out a welcome sign for me so I knew I was in the right place. Highly recommend and will def stay here again when I come back for a longer workshop!

Beautiful, peaceful, clean and safe. This home was exactly what we needed for a weekend escape with friends. Dena was very responsive in helping us with everything we needed.

We stayed in Jackie’s home for nearly three months and it was great! Wonderful home with incredible views. The back yard is very peaceful with a big beautiful oak tree. Great exercise with the stairs! Jackie was very responsive with any issues in the home and communicative about goings on. Do not miss the sushi restaurant down the street! 4.8 stars and reasonably priced!

Dana was great at communicating the instructions. The place was nice and clean. It was perfect for a week’s stay. We were very comfortable at the place. It’s in a very safe neighborhood.

A beautiful respite from the hustle and bustle, I stayed at this garden retreat during a work trip and it was so lovely that it was hard to leave each morning to enter into the real world. The garden is very special, but the inside is also very nice and relaxing. The bedroom has garden views and is super comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed and the bathroom and shower are quite nice. It was quite chilly during my stay so the gas fireplace was a welcome and cozy addition. I would love to stay here again.

We were happy to stay at Michael's place. He was very helpful and let us check in early. He reminded us about the parking notices in the area, but overall, parking was not a problem. The place was good enough for our stay with everything we needed. We were able to cook with the necessary kitchen essentials. The bed was clean and comfy. The bathroom is small but cleaned. Would highly recommend it if you want to stay near UCB.

I had a great time at this location. It was clean and roomy. Walkable to UC Berkeley. The check in and out process was easy. The host, Heather, was quick to respond. I would stay here again.

I only stayed one night, but I couldn’t have been happier to land here. The space is thoughtfully and attractively appointed with everything you could possibly need—honestly, more amenities than I needed for such a short stay! The shower was a standout, with both rainfall and handheld options running simultaneously. I also appreciated the helpful local guidebook provided. Rocco the dog was extremely sweet (small!) and securely separated by a gate from the walkway, so no issues at all with access for the K-9 concerned. This place would be ideal for a mature couple on an extended, value-conscious stay. Highly recommended would stay again!

The smart design, the functionality, the view, the deck and the hot tub made this a phenomenally relaxing short vacation for us. We would stay with Jan and Marcia again in a heartbeat.

This was my first stay at an Airbnb ever. I spent a month here and it was great. The place is spacious, clean and well-stocked with all the necessities, including in the kitchen. The location is convenient to both Berkeley and Oakland, including the Ashby BART station, Berkeley Bowl and a local gym called Berkeley Barbell Club. I can’t imagine a better host than Joe. He usually responds to any message within minutes, and is proactive in dealing with any issue or answering any question. All in all, I highly recommend it.

This place was absolute amazing! We rented it for my daughter sweet 16 with a few of her friends. They paddle boarded and swam. Had the best time ever. Absolutely recommend this place to everyone!

Everything was great. Temperature in the unit was perfect. Shower water was hot. Beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed.

I loved my stay! Milady was amazing and very welcoming. The house was beautiful and I loved the views.

This is our 2nd time at this Airbnb. We took my husband’s family here for our very first family vacation and they had a blast. House is very spacious and has lots of space to sleep. We utilized the provided paddle boards and kayaks. Everyone had a good time! We were able to bring our to doggos with us. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this place. The hosts are always quick and very responsive.

Another wonderful stay in this beautiful and welcoming home. We look forward to returning whenever it’s available!

Beautiful place to stay.

Can't wait to go back, even though we live in the same town! We had to find a place quickly because we had some damage at our home and Laurie and Bradley were so accommodating and flexible. The property is gorgeous! And I can't say enough about the showers. Every piece of furniture was so comfortable, including the beds (and I am very picky when it comes to beds). The view was spectacular. Besides the incredible amenities, Laurie and Bradley were such incredible hosts and were very easy to reach and super responsive to the many requests we had to extend our stay. I highly recommend their house.
