This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

With great enthusiasm, we renovated our old Mansion and restored it to its original state. On the bell floor, we have created an apartment that we are now renting out. The house is in a lively neighborhood a 5 minute walk to the city center and at 4 minutes walk to the train station from where you can be at Amsterdam Central Station within 34 minutes. Nieuwe studio met veel licht en ruim uitzicht in het centrum van Alkmaar. Restaurants, terrassen, winkelstraat en supermarkt op loopafstand. Vlak bij het trein- bus station en fietsverhuur. In 35 min per trein ben je in het centrum van Amsterdam. Dichtbij het het strand, bos en duinen van Egmond en Bergen. De studio bevindt zich op de zolderetage en is te bereiken via twee steile trappen.

The Vossenstekkie

In the middle of Alkmaar city center, everything within reach and yet quiet. In our spacious apartment with beautiful south-facing terrace, it is good to relax. All the sights of the beautiful historic Alkmaar are less than a 2-minute walk away. The apartment is on the 2nd floor but has a stair lift, so it is also accessible if you are a little less mobile.
