We don't live nearby. Gordes is a classified medieval village "un des plus beaux villages de France". Many tourists during the day, but very quiet in the morning until 9h30, then again from 19h onwards. Our house is completely isolated from the road, you only hear birds sing and the church-bell in the morning! Starry starry nights... It is also ideal for biking in the spring and autumn months. Not to hot. Biking rental shop at 5km, Mont Ventoux one hour, hilly villages in the surroundings. Biker’s Paradise! Gordes is 50 minutes away by car from Intl.Airport Marseille-Provence, 35 minutes drive from the TGV-station at Avignon. 2 hours drive from the Cote d'Azur. The winding road from the main road to our Mas is medieval, with a width of only 2 meters. Small cars pass easily, even a Bmw 3 or Audi 4, a Rolls needs some more practice. we are the only house in the end of the road, this gives us a natural security.

La Cure's Cabanon (Medieval Studio B&B)

The Cabanon is a Provence stone build studio, part of the historical house called "La Cure" on the highest elevation point of Menerbes . Located on the second floor facing southwest, you'll access it using an outside stone stair from the garden on the ground floor. Old fashioned but well maintained. It offer a breathtaking view on the Luberon and a most relaxing environment for a few days of peace. Since April this year "La Cure (Historical Guesthouse)" is also available for booking on Airbnb.
