Everything about this apartment is 5 stars and if you are planning to stay with a young child I'd give it 10! The apartment checks all of the boxes: location is walkable to the town, check in/check out is simple, the view is stunning, the furnishings are comfortable, and the apartment includes any amenities you might need. We stayed with our toddler and Caroline went above and beyond in a way we have not seen at an Airbnb before. There was a travel crib, high chair, bibs, and a toy bin. It was such a pleasant surprise. We had everything we could need for him and our son truly enjoyed his stay! I would stay with or without children, it was such a wonderful stay! But as someone traveling with a child, we have never felt so welcomed and accommodated.

Wow, what an incredible experience. All the comfort and modern luxury set amongst the harsh environment makes for memories that will last a very long time. Our entire family enjoyed our stay immensely. Everything about the accommodation was very well thought out, practical, modern, comfortable, fully equipped and visually stunning. Credit to Cato & Solveig for putting so much love and effort into turning this piece of history into something that anyone who cares to visit to enjoy. The were lovely hosts to interact with. We had an amazing stay at Kine's place! Kine was such a friendly and responsive host, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. The atmosphere of the house was fantastic, and it comfortably fit all five of us. The location is stunning, with incredible views right in front of the jetty. The home appliances were also top-notch, making our stay even more convenient and comfortable. To top it off, we were able to watch the northern lights from the yard – an unforgettable experience! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and scenic getaway.

Anne Kristin’s place was the perfect place for a two day stay, beautiful surroundings and privacy. Anne gave us clear instructions about check in, check out and how things like radiators and kitchen work, totally recommend it

Great place - we had an amazing time! It was perfectly rustic, clean and in a special location. The only point to improve on would be the kitchen - which could do with slightly better amenities as cooking there was a little tricky. Would definitely recommend nonetheless!

We loved our time at the cabin It's cozy, very nice, and the views are just spectacular. Hilde was a lovely host, always available and very easy to contact at all times. We felt very welcome and comfortable from the very first minute. We would definitely repeat and recommend this little cottage to anyone looking for a special and quiet experience!

really enjoyed our week at Barstrand. Hans Ole was great in providing us with information and recommendations before and during our stay :) every question and problem was swiftly take care of. Fully recommend it for a relaxed stay with view in the sea :)

We discovered this beautiful cottage on our tour of Norway. We were very pleased with the amenities, cleanliness and location. Ernst has left clear instructions and information for the guests, so that everyone can find their way around. The view from the house, as well as from the terrace, is indescribably wonderful. At breakfast, we could watch the minke whales from the window. The location was perfect for a trip to the Lofoten Islands. The approach from the main road to the cottage was somewhat difficult with our normal car. The path was slippery (due to the rain on the sandy ground) and very uneven. But quite feasible. You should shop beforehand, the nearest supermarket is not right around the corner. But this was not an issue either. We would recommend this cabin to anyone wishing to spend beautiful days in Norway. We hope to come back sometime.

Absolutely brilliant stay! The place is beautiful and in a great location. Plenty of space and great amenities available. The shower was great! Hege was really responsive and really helpful. I can’t fault it. I had a great stay and would love to stay again!

Warm and cozy apartment. A beautiful location.

We have been to many Airbnbs. I can truly say that this was the best… very spacious in a beautiful area of Lofoten. The house comfortably has space for eight people with all the amenities that make the stay fully enjoyable. Breathtaking views, wildlife sightings and Northern Lights just added to the charm and made our stay unforgettable! I can fully recommend this Airbnb and the host is very gracious and responsive. Thank you very much!

Tor is the best host because he us thoughtful, helpful, and caring. Our family loved our snow days in his home because it was warm, cozy, and felt like home. Tor provided some fish he caught from the fjord for us to have and it was wonderful. This is the best overall stay my family has had in 4 international vacations. We hope to return for summer. We all slept so well in the cozy beds. The views were unbelievable. We enjoyed playing cards and chess. Kitchen is very well stocked and grocery store is 10 minutes away. HIGHLY recommend Tor and his summer home.

Lovely home in such a beautiful location! I agree with another reviewer that the photos online do not fully do the home or peaceful surroundings justice. The inside was cozy, bright and clean. The outside had so many amenities including a boat, kayak, SUPs, hot tub and barbecue. There were multiple outside areas to sit, relax and enjoy the amazing view. Steinar and Sissel were so kind, even buying some groceries for us before our arrival since the supermarket was closed on Sundays. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again … highly recommend!

In one word: wonderful. Vladimir's house is a joyful nestled in the heart of the Lofoten, a warm and splendid place in which you will feel comfortable from the first moments. We were not lucky with the weather, but despite that the house offered a great place to stay, rest and enjoy the beauty of the Lofoten. The kitchen is very well-equipped, anyone's dream to cook and the breathtaking view. We were able to enjoy a little bit of the outdoor heated bath and it was really exceptional, I recommend 100% to book it. It's not too much work and once you've done it, all you have to do is enjoy! Just be careful to read the photo captions, you'll find additional information (we didn't pay attention). As for Vladimir, he was very kind and responsive throughout the trip, really this house was a huge favorite! Thanks for everything!

Our group really enjoyed staying at Einar's and Carina's cozy home. We were also allowed to experience the Lofoten and Henningsvaer with sunshine and had a quite nice time up here. Thank you so much for having us :-)

Beautiful Airbnb! The view is even more beautiful than it comes across in the pictures. Highlight: We were able to watch northern lights (auroras) from the hot tub (several times)! The kitchen is excellently equipped for an Airbnb. Enough plates, pots and even baking equipment is there. We also made waffles and pancakes. Nothing was missing in the kitchen! Only downside: A few things weren't quite clean. The location is great, several supermarkets about 20 minutes away. There were 3 of us here, for 6 people I imagine it might be a little tight. For us, however, it was just perfect!

This fisherman’s cabin was my favorite during my stay in the lofoten islands ! Place is big and clean and have an awesome view from the windows. We enjoyed the sauna as well ! this place is absolutely amazing !

An amazing piece of architecture with a beautiful view, and in a perfectly located spot. This was one of our favorite stays on any of our travels so far. Right off the main road for easy access to come and go, and a grocery right down the road. We also saw the northern lights almost every single night we stayed, and never left the house to find them because the views are just that good from this home. You can even view them over the ocean while lying in bed which is very magical and *warm*. The kitchen had everything we needed for a week long stay as well. Can’t wait to come back and bring our friends and family to stay at this house! Book this, you definitely won’t regret it.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the property. The positioning of the home allows for inside viewing of the Northern Lights. We also were treated to a NL performance in the spa! If you are looking to relax and seek calm, this is your place.
