Gîte de La Bascule

The cottage is an old house completely renovated in 2019 with a terrace that offers a beautiful view of the Morvan. It is located very close to Lake Crescent and Chastellux Castle, a few kilometers from Vézelay, Avallon, Bazoches. Our region lends itself to hiking, cycling or horseback riding in unspoiled nature and allows fishing or swimming enthusiasts to indulge in their favorite pastime. La Bascule is a hamlet of Chastellux, located between Avallon and Lormes.

Hidden between maples and bamboos, the chestnut cottage is located right on the edge of a 700 m2 body of water. Private entrance, free adjoining parking, not overlooked by the rest of the estate which consists of 30,000 m2 of a small private stable, a small cottage and our home. Ideally located 5 minutes from Nevers and surrounded by 1500 ha of Amognes state forest directly accessible on foot. Calm and nature predominate in this preserved place out of time.

The location is ideal if you want to discover the jewels of our beloved Burgundy such as Semur en Auxois, Alesia, Flavigny as well as Vezelay and many more. Two highway exits are 15 km away. Our village of Epoisses is looking forward to hosting you to discover its beautiful heritage.

Renovated old barn with noble materials including a bedroom for two, a small bedroom with a bed 110 cm wide, a bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet, a living room with equipped kitchen and a terrace. You access it through a cul-de-sac. you will find all the comforts you need for a pleasant stay. The entrance is at the back of the cul-de-sac to the right. Avallon is a very friendly small town with shops, bars and restaurants.
