Holiday rentals in Avoca

The Boulders Lodge worked out perfectly for our mountain biking trip to Brown County. The lodge had ample space for 7 of us. The two kitchens had everything, the beds and bedrooms give everyone the space they needed. The drive to Brown County State park was 15 minutes.

Exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. Quiet and private, this property was well maintained and cared for. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of bath towels and toiletries for the entire stay. The outdoor area(s) was exactly as described in the listing. We will rent this place again! If I had any complaints, water pressure in the shower, but that was not a big enough issue to affect my stay, my desire to return, or this review! After a few negative experiences with past Airbnb stays, this has renewed my faith in utilizing this platform. Thank you for the great hospitality that was shown to us.

I was in town with my daughter and best friend for the eras tour. We wanted to book outside of the city so we could come back to quiet and have a relaxing place to just enjoy our weekend getaway. Curt’s place was the perfect spot for this.

This place was incredible. Beautiful landscape to admire and explore during the day and great amenities to play with at night. The host responded to my questions immediately and was very nice. I can’t think of one bad thing to say about this place or host.

I am a solo full-time wheelchair user traveling with a Great Dane. It's hard to find a place that is accessible and pet-friendly. I was there for over a month during some winter weather. The host was concerned about my safety and accessibility by making sure snow and ice was clear. The place itself was clean, recently updated, and comfortable. Two nice large TVs were provided and I used the Wifi and it worked well. It is on a large grassy lot set back from the road. There was a lot of room for my dog to sniff around and get some exercise. Guests should be aware that there is a small refrigerator. I had no problem with it, but if you have a need for a large refrigerator or freezer be aware that this might be a problem for you. There is a nice big microwave and toaster, but no traditional cooktop or oven. I felt very safe here. It's pretty close to campus and there is a large parking area that is well off street. Host was great at communication and answered questions quickly.

We had a wonderful stay at Shila’s home. Would definitely return & recommend to those looking for somewhere to stay in Bloomington.

A beautiful space to escape in after full days! Extremely well-appointed kitchen with everything you might need and more. Can’t think of a thing they’d need to add! Cozy living area separate from the bedroom so people can go about their own routines. For those needing a little extra security, the bedroom and bathroom area can be locked. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and wonderful to wander around.
