Greenshadows - a detached 16th-century Scottish cottage fronting River Leny with views of Ben Ledi in the heart of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The house has a rich history. Locally called ‘The Pink House’, it was a safe haven during the Jacobite uprising. The author of ‘The Junglebook’ is thought to have resided at Greenshadows for a short period. Of note is William Turner’s painting of Ben Ledi from Kilmahog Bridge (on display at the Tate Gallery) just a few hundred metres away.

This home is a short walk to the train station which is 6 mins to Troon and 45 mins to the centre of Glasgow This fabulous bright and spacious home is a short walk from the airport, train station, beach, the world famous Prestwick golf club and all local amenities, including a wide array of excellent restaurants and bars. French doors open onto a private back garden which has two decking areas, both with garden furniture and BBQ. The home has recently been renovated to a high standard.

As a Category B listed building of architectural and historic interest, Rose Cottage is believed to be a long house typical of the Western Isles. We accept a max of 2 well behaved dogs no larger than a Labrador. Separate garden for guests use. Safe little beach and swings just across the road . Start of the Goatfell path 5 min walk away. Welcome to Arranview this is a large family home and not a boutique hotel. Overlooking Newton Shore and one of the three Prestwick Golf courses. Situated between the centre of Ayr and the centre of Prestwick with views over the sea to the Isle of Arran. Getting around the coast of Ayrshire is never easier from this central location. Bed linen is provided, but you will need to bring towels. This is a non smoking residence, so please respect that.
