Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Barrie

Very spacious, we were four people with a dog and it felt like a very big space. The hot tub in the main bedroom is a great addition to a cold winter night.

After being displaced from our home after damage from severe weather we were so fortunate to find this location. The house accommodated our family of 4 with pets for nearly a month without any issues. The kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms are well finished, bedrooms were comfortable and the location was very clean. The backyard is a beautiful and relatively private space hidden within a 15 minute walk to the downtown restaurants or the beach area. Anzhelika is an excellent host who was very responsive when needed, provided clear instructions and ample privacy. We would happily recommend this location to friends and family attending the area for events.

We had a lovely stay, everything was great. Kitchen was well equipped. Only issue is that there were no towels at all. Which was communicated but we were expecting at least a kitchen rag or hand towels in the washroom.

We had an incredible stay at Mila’s place. Our group of 12 fit very comfortably. We appreciated all the space, the cleanliness and the well stocked kitchen. Mila also went above and beyond to return an item we left behind. I would highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. We booked it for a small get-together with our friends. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated. Jerry made sure everything was set up to make our stay comfortable. Although the pool wasn’t open during our visit, it’s definitely something we’re looking forward to next time. We are glad we chose this place. Thanks again for hosting us!

We came up to visit my sister’s family for the holidays and the location was close to her and the space was fantastic. Parking was abundant and the host had plowers come by a couple times to make sure it was clear and had salt for the steps so no issues. Host was always responsive and was able to help us out with a pack n play for our toddler which was one less item we had to travel with! I would definitely recommend and stay here again!

We recently held our annual family birthday weekend at Natalia's place with a multi-generational crew that spanned 1.5 years to 90 years young! This incredible log cabin met all of our needs. The bedroom on the main floor meant an accessible space for our great aunt, the games room in the basement was such a fun space for our teens. The sliding doors to the wide front porch and the giant yard with fire pit, play structures and trampoline gave us lots of space to play. Plenty of fridge and freezer space and bathrooms on every level was really helpful. Natalia was very responsive and kind as a host. Balm Beach is gorgeous and walkable. There are some really cute restaurants and coffee shops close by (shout out Cawaja General Store and Balm Beach Bar & Smokehouse!) No place is perfect - I note the stairs to the basement are rather steep, and a few suggestions were shared with our awesome host, including about kitchen amenities, but this is a pretty spectacular place to stay for a group.

Such a lovely home with very nice and comfortable furnishings. Lanny and Jennifer are very friendly hosts that made their suite a home away from home. I would definitely come back.

I enjoyed a peaceful 2 weeks at this beautiful Airbnb! The setting is surreal surrounded by nature and a river! I had everything I needed and I enjoyed a few nights with a cozy fire in the wood stove. The bed and couches were very comfortable. The No Frills in Shelburne was a great grocery store nearby. Wendy was always very responsive and helpful. As clearly noted in the description, there is no cell service but not a big deal as there is wifi. I hope to be back again one day! A true gem!

An excellent option if they want to go to blue mountain for the weekend

I stayed here for my son’s competition that was in town. It was far less than a hotel and offered more comfort. Large tv to watch the hockey games at night and full kitchen and living area. The location is super easy to get to off of the Hwy and is in a great neighbourhood. It was nice out so it was a real easy walk to the waterfront to stroll the main streets and we ate at a cool Italian spot. If I ever go back to Barrie, I’ll stay here again for sure.

Lisa’s home is a beautiful home away from home. We stayed for a quick overnight trip, but in the time we were there it was lovely. The private bedroom had a very comfortable and cozy bed & The living space also offered a cozy welcoming feeling. The couch was used to sleep on, and that was also very comfortable. Lisa provided extra bedding. We would 100% book again!

We loved our stay over the Holidays! It was a perfect place and had all amenities listed. We had everything we needed and it felt just like home. Will likely rebook when returning to Penetanguishene. Thank you, Carole!

This is my second time staying here and it was just as comfortable and quiet as I remembered from my first trip. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Newmarket.

She was incredibly responsive to all my questions, ensuring everything was perfect for my stay. Her warmth and attention to detail made the entire experience seamless and inviting. Firstly, this home was the nicest vacation home my family and I have EVER stayed at. It was very spacious, luxurious finishes throughout , it fit my family of 7 very well. The rooms are all good sizes. There are 4 rooms with beds in them, an office on the main floor that we put a crib in for the baby and an additional room in the basement which could be used as a bedroom if you bring a blowup mattress. The backyard is huge, the playground set was a great treat for my kids, however the hot tub did not seem like it was operable. Mina our host was absolutely AMAZING! Her response time to any of our enquires was very prompt, she made sure we truly enjoyed our stay. We would have loved if the home had blackout curtains as the rooms get quite bright in the morning when the sun comes up, but it wasn't the end of the world. All in all, it was an AMAZING STAY! Definitely recommended!!

This house was close to Blue Mountain and an easy drive to nearby amenities. It’s nice and clean and is exactly as pictured.

a really nice property nestled away from the main city! felt like we were up north given that it's inside a York region protected forest! the property was very well stocked, really good appliances and extremely clean! Patrick was amazing in his communications: gave clear instructions and was quick in his replies! plenty of space in the property, lots of parking space, backyard space and a really nice pool area! the pool also had plenty of amenities. Definitely recommend Patrick and his Cedar Escape property!

This home is beautiful and well equipped. Giovanni was pleasant and responded quickly to inquiries. My only suggestion would be for visitors to check the beds before choosing rooms, as some bed are firm and others quite soft.
