I am creating an airbnb account for my two lovely parents, who are empty nesters for the first time in thirty-two years. We, myself and my five siblings, were blessed to be raised in the quaint city of Batavia, IL, which boasts river paths, close proximity to a train station that will take you into Chicago, and historic neighborhoods such as our own. Our property consists of two homes, our own and a coach house, which we would love for you to stay in! Both are situated on a family-friendly old-fashioned alley with mature maple trees. We thank you and wish you a pleasant stay regardless of where you choose to stay the night. All our best.
“Batavia is a wonderful little town (26,000), for a start, with a beautiful river and waterfront, hiking and cycling trails, interesting history. The little carriage house is just a few blocks from the river. I thought it was comfortable and lovely, although if you're looking for a five-star hotel experience, it is simpler and less chic than that. I cooked for a week and that worked well. The bedroom is one large room with a double bed and two singles, which wasn't clear to me from the photos. I didn't immediately realize there was a washing machine and dryer, very useful. Mary is a great hostess, attentive but also ready to leave you alone if you need that (I was working on a project and needed solo time). Very nice family, and they are right next door, in case there are any problems.”
Cozy private room in the lower level. Guests have access to the shared downstairs family room with TV. Bathroom is adjacent to the room and is private. There is a small fridge and a coffee maker, and a microwave. By car, downtown Geneva is 4 minutes, Arcada Theater 6 minutes Pheasat Run Resort 7 minutes, and Q Center 12 minutes. Our space is ideal for short stays and visitors on the go who just need a place to rest at night.
“Claudio & Svea are outstanding hosts. They sure know to Air Bnb. The place was immaculate, cozy and full of surprises. We were very impressed with the attention to detail. There was a minibar, breakfast goodies, coffee machine, and even little chocolates on our towels, which by the way, are the fluffiest towels we’ve ever used. There was a even a visitor’s guide to the area full of suggestions. Be sure to browse through the book of useless facts found in the bathroom. Thank you Claudio & Svea. Your AirBnb set a pretty high standard for us.”

Your room by private bathroom upstairs w/ door closing area off - semi private; my study upstairs. Enjoy family room, full kitchen, dining room, living room with fire place, front porch. “Super close to Morton Arboretum, easy access to I88 and 355, tons of stores and restaurants within a few mins drive. The home is in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood; I felt very secure traveling alone, coming and going early and late. The room is well appointed with easy access to private bathroom. So many amenities, I lacked for nothing. I enjoyed running most afternoons at nearby Hidden Lake and Herrick Lake trails. I’ll book Alice’s place whenever I return to the area.”
