Staying at Kusuma's place was a wonderful discovery and a real pleasure. It’s a family-run guesthouse, so you’re welcomed as part of the family. I went trekking, trailing and hiking with Kusuma, his brother, and his nephew—an amazing experience that made me feel truly connected to the place. The property is surrounded by nature—you’ll find yourself immersed in the wild. Just steps away, there are waterfalls, jungle paths, and trails through rice fields. Coconuts and all kinds of tropical fruits grow around, and I must have eaten a mountain of delicious passion fruits! A special moment: black monkeys sometimes come very close, giving you a front-row seat to their playful and curious behavior. And last but not least, the food is exceptional—Kusuma’s wife prepares delicious homemade meals that round off each day beautifully.

I booked two accommodation for a friend and I at Lombok Organics and they didn’t disappoint. The treehouse was very rustic with an outdoor bathroom and no electricity. You see the stars, listen to the animals of the forest and bathe in pure nature…it is exquisite but does take a bit of getting used to. My friend stayed in the other accommodation and loved the simplicity and beauty of looking onto the rice fields and Monkey Forest. Kusuma and Annie are beautiful souls who have created a unique and inviting place with nature at the forefront. The food that was prepared was made with love and was absolutely incredible. Eating fruit off the tree is something you cannot readily find in other places! Wonderful stay!

Staying at Mr Tony's guest house at BC Foundation was the highlight of our trip in Indonesia so far. We finally experienced the true local culture of Lombok. We got to interact with the students of the foundation, who guided us to two beautiful waterfalls, including an UNESCO site, and walks around the village and parks. We were welcomed into two of the students houses, where we joined the family and the other students for meals and games. The locals of the village were all very kind to us, saying hello, making conversation and asking for pictures. Not only we had a great experience, with amazing food, nice accommodation at BC and the beautiful surroundings, but Mr Tony also helped us into the next steps of our trip with his local knowledge and network. We'll always remember BC Foundation, our second home in Lombok 💙

When you say goodbye to your host with a warm hug, you just know it was a great stay – and that’s exactly how it was for us! We spent two wonderful weeks at this place and felt incredibly comfortable from the very beginning. Putri, Lina and Cor made us feel welcome like old friends. They were warm, communicative and always available – we had a few lovely evenings with them that we’ll remember for a long time. They organized transfers for us, always had the right solution for every little thing, and impressed us with their open and caring attitude. The house itself is spotless, beautifully located in a peaceful area, and equipped with everything you need: a fully stocked kitchen, fresh drinking water, and especially – the amazing pool and the well-equipped little gym, which we used almost every day. It’s one of those places you arrive at and never want to leave again. Thank you so much for everything – we will definitely be back! ☺️☺️
