Chicken Coop Guest House on Olympic Peninsula

Originally the cottage was a chicken coop on this 5 acre ranchette nestled in the small farming community of Happy Valley. As the valley became more residential the cottage has been nicely converted to a comfortable indoor/outdoor living space. Pasture and farm still abound and mix with wildlife and recreation. Olympic National Park and Forest just to the south. Strait of Juan de Fuca and Dungeness Recreation Area to the north. Pacific Ocean to the west and Hood Canal and Seattle to the east.

Although we are within the city limits, you'll feel completely removed from the hubbub of daily life, with plenty of stores and restaurants near by. The Olympic Discovery trail runs very close by, making it easy to take a walk or bike ride. During the summer, feel free to pick a few raspberries, figs, peaches, apples, pears and even kiwis!

Enjoy a stay in this historical 1909 farmhouse, which has been updated with modern amenities while still maintaining turn of the century ambiance. New self-contained Studio nestled on 5 acres of private, quiet farm land located in a valley less than 2 miles off Hwy 101 with a view of the surrounding hills. Elk sometimes wander throughout valley and coyotes may be heard at night. 2 miles from the City of Sequim and John Wayne Marina and Sequim Bay where there is access to fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Plenty of outdoor fun with hiking trails, lavender farms, lakes, wineries, restaurants and shopping nearby.

The Olympic National Park, Hurricane Ridge and Deer Park are close enough for day trips and Neah Bay and the coast are approximately 2 hours away.
