Majd thank you for your hospitality. Thanks to you, we visited not only sacred places in Bethlehem, but also Jerycho, Mar Saba, Herodion and Hebron. Majd and her husband have a good place to stay. The location is in Beit Sahour, but it's only 25 ILS per course to the basilica. It's a great place to get away outside of Betjejem - the traffic is bypassed and gives extra time to return as well. Majd knows honest taxi drivers and are willing to help pilgrims and tourists. There are shops and a fruit and vegetable stall within walking distance. Inside, the apartment is clean and the kitchen is spacious and practical. I think this is the best off-bottom offer in Bethlehem. I don't regret it, I recommend it.

Large apartment in the historic center of Bethelem. Regular direct bus Old City Jerusalem - Bethelem. Or bus Old City Jerusalem - Checkpoint, then 5 min. taxi or 25 min. walk. Spent 3 nights, Bethelem is safe and peaceful place, do not worry to accomodate. I walked the town alone, mornings at local street market, evening at restaurant, on foot to check-point. Staying in Bethelem, you will get chance to experience commuting with local Palestines crossing checkpoint, who have to go through it regularly.. Landlord, Issa, very communicative, helpful and caring. You can turn on him with any question.
