Holiday rentals with a patio in Bijagua de Upala

Absolutely unbelievable property, stunning views just like the pictures and better in real life. Really felt like you were in the mountains/jungle surrounded by nature little birds and beautiful flowers. All amenities worked well and the check in was smooth, easy to find, great communication, would 100% recommend this place and the host! Definitely made our holiday no faults whatsoever!!

An incredible view in an amazing area! We hope to return again!

Beautifully appointed and immaculate, this little garden cottage is perfect in every way. You’re in the middle of Tilarán but are tucked back off the street in a private garden. The kitchen is well equipped as is the laundry room with laundry soap, iron, drying racks, etc. The bed is comfortable with nice linens. There is a large TV and good Wi-Fi. Raquel is an excellent host and quickly responds to any issues. Raquel’s family who live in the main house are welcoming and generous. If you need a few days to rest, relax and regroup, this place is great. I’ve staying for the past two years and plan to stay again next year! It’s a short trip to Lake Arenal and Monteverde is also nearby.

WOW. This place was incredible. The view of the volcano and lake arenal was absolutely stunning. The indoor/outdoor kitchen was really nice, and this would be an amazing place to host a group. Between the jacuzzi, unique seating options, and pool- there is no reason to leave the patio area, we ended up spending a whole day out there. There is such a magical energy in this area, and Justino’s house is the perfect place to relax and absorb it all. The location is wonderful, and there are activities all around! We loved this home.

The Blue House is truly a magical place with its beautiful gardens and the river in the backyard is a very special feature. We saw lots of butterflies, poisonous frogs, a whole family of monkeys and a toucan, right there in the yard. It is well situated, in a very calm area but at the same time just a couple minutes from numerous activities and restaurants. The house itself is a bit small and the kitchen is minimalistic but everything is super clean and in perfect order. Anyway we passed the majority of our time outside. Anisa is an exceptionally nice person and a super well organized host. Everything is labeled and information is shared in advanced with efficiency. Anisa was also a great help for organizing activities and she made good restaurant recommandations. She answers very quickly and information is crystal clear. thanks you again Anisa! We enjoyed our stay a lot and I recommend a 100%!

We enjoyed our seat here. Very sweet, clean accommodations with everything we needed. Located close to local hikes and hot springs. Comfortable bed, lovely gardens with cool birds, a beautiful pool area, space for yoga practice and a gym. Felt safe and private. Andy, the host, had great recommendations and was responsive to any questions we had. The only down side was occasional sounds from loud trucks on the bordering road.

Highly recommend booking Villa Calathea if you are staying in La Fortuna. The pictures listed on Airbnb are exactly what you are getting. The view of the Arenal Volcano is simply breathtaking, after a busy day of exploring and hiking we always looked forward to unwinding at the Airbnb. The jacuzzi in the backyard is so peaceful. Santiago is a great host and sent a bunch of restaurants to check out in the downtown area, he also explained we had access to the amenities of Los Lagos property which we enjoyed on one of the days. Santiago also kept checking in during our stay to make sure we were enjoying the property and didn’t need anything.

I spoke with Candyce by phone, very pleasant person. Dale was here to welcome us, very nice person. The view over the valley from the terrace is exceptional. Peace and quiet with the song of the cicadas. Nearby barbecue area with all-you-can-eat eggs. The tica family on the property is very pleasant. In short, we had a great 5 days and highly recommend this place.

Nice and modern apartment, located in a very beautiful section of the valley with great views of Lake Arenal. Tanyia and Rod were also very friendly and provided us with a list of local attractions.
