Holiday rentals with breakfast in Blaenau Gwent

Joa was a great host. He had really thought of everything - we particularly appreciated the hot water bottle and the Deep Heat bubble bath after our ultra marathon! He was kind and attentive, but left us to our own devices too. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pans and plates for us to use. There was tea and coffee in the room, as well as some thoughtful extras. We were really made to feel at home. We can't wait to come back and stay soon. Thanks for everything! :)

Really enjoyed my stay at Emily’s home. A comfortable room and quality coffee and lovely breakfast snacks. Everything I needed. It may have been me, but I couldn’t adjust the temperature in the shower. Other than that, perfect!

Julie was a wonderful host who was very accommodating to our late change of plans due to an airline delay. She met us at the door and gave us tea and homemade lemon pound cake which was fabulous. She helped us make some calls to figure out some lost baggage and then offered to let us use her address for the baggage delivery. Then she went out of her way to deliver it to us while we were on a canal boat. She was super helpful and super nice and couldn't have been a better host. I can recommend her place highly.

Great stay for a family occasion. Also perfect for walkers, cyclists and for the climbing centre.

What a beautiful place to stay The hosts are wonderful, so friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean and nice to have a breakfast. I stayed for a wedding so didn’t see much of the area but from what I saw it was beautiful and I hope to go back and explore more.

What a fabulous place to stay, with wonderful hosts who were warm and welcoming and happy to socialise and give advice on local walks etc. The delicious homemade Welsh cakes on top of an equally delicious breakfast were an unexpected bonus and our accommodation was beautiful, characterful, very comfortable and immaculately clean and tidy. Couldn't recommend it (and Sian, Steve and friendly dogs!) more highly.

amazing trip. Both Mark and Heidi were extremely pleasant to deal with and couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable during our stay. the house was spotless, with amazing facilities, truly felt like a home. Lovely area, quiet and private feeling. Will be looking to use this place again the next time I am in the UK. 10/10!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Really loved staying at Edith's - such a cosy, relaxing place. What stood out was the amazing breakfast offered - a selection of fresh fruits, yoghurt, bread, pastries and various spreads (especially loved the chocolate orange spread)! We have just got home from a brilliant few days at this lovely apartment. Easy check in with some lovely bits left out in the kitchen for us - super thoughtful touches, thank you! The space was perfect for what we needed and exactly what we were expecting from the listing. Really cosy lounge and a comfy bed, perfect after long days of adventures. Location is superb and there is so much to do. We found all the locals to be super friendly and gave us some wonderful recommendations. We have never been to Coleford before but would absolutely come back and would really recommend staying here. Thank you so much again!

Rob is a great host who definitely made that extra effort to make us welcome, and leaving us in no doubt that if we did needed anything he would be there to help. His apartment was immaculately clean and tidy and just as it was described, we were not disappointed. The location of the property to city center is excellent just being a short walk away. The secured on site parking was also worry free and very convenient. We all enjoyed our weekend stay at Rob's greatly, and look forward to returning in the future.

We had a lovely time at Charlottes place this bank holiday weekend! The flat is lovely and clean and perfect a weekend getaway! It’s in an ideal location in the centre of Usk in walking distance to shops and pubs. Furthermore, Charlotte was the most accommodating host, available at all times for our issues/questions about the flat or for things to do in the area! I would thoroughly recommend a stay here to visit Wales!

very lovely place for us to stay and lots within a few minutes drive for us to do. Sam was incredibly friendly and checked several times during our stay just to make sure everything was going okay and we didn't have any issues!

Peaceful stay in a quiet home and neighbourhood. Nicely refurbished and decorated. Very spacious and warm. Nice big tv with access to various platforms like Netflix. Friendly hosts and good value for money. Will definitely stay again!

Great place, just as described, short walk in to the town. Victoria was brilliant, very friendly and accommodating, a great host. Other reviews mention the stairs to the flat. I counted 55 but well worth the climb for the view alone, the best in Penarth. My 79 year old father managed it whilst staying here although did stop for a breath halfway up. He enjoyed the fact that he was easily able to wonder in to the town. Definitely recommend and will be coming back, thanks Victoria x

Beautiful apartment with everything u need. Right next to the ocean, u could hear the waves in the night coming in. Would recommend :)

Geoffrey's place was a beautiful apartment with stunning views, especially the sunset. amazing to relax at the end of the day on the balcony. Top tier! Geoffrey was great and super helpful. He left breakfast and everything we could possibly need to cook and make ourselves at home. Would 100% recommend and if the time came would definitely stay again. Thanks heaps!

Fantastic stay - the rooms were clean and the host and owner were both so friendly. Very quiet and the pub downstairs was great. They provided snacks and teas/coffee/juices for the morning. Will definitely stay again if we’re in the area

This is a lovely space upstairs in a 16th Century Farmhouse. The big attic space is light and airy and it has been beautifully and thoughtfully renovated. Idris was a great host, and the cooked breakfast was first class. Highly recommend!

This is such a beautiful location, you will not be disappointed if you come here for a stay in Powys with a gorgeous view of the Brecon Beacons. The manor house is very nice and well-kept - the bedrooms are indeed just as big as they look in the photos! My only complaint would be that the bed is two single beds pushed together with very bouncy mattresses, which wasn't so comfortable for my partner and I to sleep in together. The bathroom is big, spacious, clean and modern. The service at breakfast was friendly and quick, and the food was delicious. I'd definitely stay here again.

Trina’s place was easy to find and very clean. The bed was really comfortable. I would have liked a mirror in the bathroom though and breakfast wasn’t included because of the host’s availability- there was no discount for this. I was told about this beforehand. But Trina really helped me out at very short notice, responding to my questions quickly. The location was perfect for my needs. I would definitely return.

I loved it so much last year that I'm back! Spacious room in a lovely authentic building. A very comfy bed and soft pillows that you will not want to leave. It has everything you need for a stay with fabulous hosts who look after all your needs. All set in a stunning location.

Our hosts were friendly and welcoming over our short stay. They gave good advice, lent guide books, made us lunch sandwiches and shared a very useful drying room. It felt like they were personally invested in the place and happy doing what they did in a farm with a family history. A beautiful area for walking as we were there without a car and a good pub nearby for dinner. I would definitely stay again (though we were sad not to bring the dog!) and would happily recommend this place.

After a busy couple of weeks and having just hosted a party for 50 people we were looking for a peaceful retreat for some R&R to end our 20th anniversary celebrations. Tall Johns House did not disappoint. The Manor House is beautiful and the walled garden was a peaceful setting where we ended up falling asleep in the sunshine. The surrounding area is stunning with beautiful views of the Brecons. Archie welcomed us and was on hand to help us and help with any queries including recommendations for a meal that evening and a taxi home. He even ran us over to the pub to pick up our car the next day. No review would be complete without mentioning the fabulous breakfast. A real treat which set us up for the day. Thank you Elizabeth and Archie for a lovely stay, which was everything we were looking for - we were thoroughly relaxed and rested by the time we left!
