Holiday rentals with a kayak in Bluewater

This is a very special cottage in a beautiful location. We very much enjoyed the private beach and sauna. The kayak, waterboard and canoe were a great hit with the kids. Having the lawn and the shallow steps to the beach was particularly great for keeping an eye on the kids and easy access to the water for grandma. We didn't need them as we were outside most of the time, but there are games and Lego available for kids which I thought was a lovely touch. We would definitely like to come back! Fyi: One thing we missed with this listing is that there are no bedside lamps in any of the rooms which made reading very tricky as the overhead light is very dim.

We enjoyed our time at Trudy’s cottage over Thanksgiving weekend. The weather was perfect and the open space was great for our family.

We rode our motorcycles from Ottawa to David's Brights Grove cottage and when we arrived, he had a nice cold one in the fridge for our arrival and fresh farm eggs (we didn't cook unfortunately). The cottage is sooo close to a beautiful blue water beach yet is far enough away, tucked in to the cutest and quietest little neighborhood you've ever seen. The cottage has a lovely, very private patio, all surrounded by plants and flowers and the trees keep it all wonderfully shaded. Also a nice outdoor fireplace and one indoors too. David stopped by on Sunday morning and told us to take our time checking out, chatted about the area with my partner (who grew up in that area 50/60 years ago), and took some pics of our motorcycles. What a fantastic person, we didn't meet Juli but hopefully in the future. Thank you David and Juli. We'll be spreading the word through the biker community to definitely check you out. Cheers. Great place to stay! LOVED the sunrise on Lake Huron! The lake looked like the ocean with all of its beautiful colors. Sandy beach was a blast for the kids. Great rock collecting and sea glass too. The house was so modern, clean and fit our two families of four just fine. Downtown Lexington is super cute and we had fun browsing the shops and eating ice cream at Scoops Ahoy :) Greatest swimming of my husband's life he said. We had a wonderful time.

I stayed at Katherine’s place with my boyfriend for a night and it’s so charming!! We had the best time, I’m only hoping to be able to go back sometime soon. The entire place is very moody. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Great experience staying at this cottage. It is by far one of the nicest places on the Huron Shores. The view is spectacular through the huge windows. The house was spotless and clean, and very well appointed. Looked like it was out of a model home. Well stocked with games and things to do. Clean kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms. We had a great and relaxing time. Would definitely recommend this cottage. We will absolutely be booking again.

My stay at this cottage was fantastic! The serene surroundings provided the perfect escape from daily life. The cottage was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, from a fully stocked kitchen to a cozy fireplace. The outdoor patio was a great spot for morning coffee, and the Wi-Fi and entertainment options were excellent. The space was stylish and comfortable, with incredibly cozy beds. The cleanliness was outstanding—everything was spotless, and the linens were fresh. The host was responsive and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. I’m already looking forward to returning!

Sara was an excellent host! She was quick to respond, gave clear instructions and was very understanding of our needs. She had the fire going for us inside which was so nice! I very much appreciated her flexibility with check in and out! The home was beautiful and clean - it had everything we needed and felt like a home which is so nice! Loved the huge dining table for us girls to gather! The beds were a 8.5/10 which is a win. There was not complete privacy and we did feel out in the open at the fire pit - I’m sure summer is even busier! The sunset was stunning - the stairs to the beach were intense - great exercise but be prepared. Neighbour’s were friendly. I’d say the only negative (which isn’t really negative), was the living room furniture., it was somewhat uncomfortable because it has been used. A plus was being so close to Grand Bend for all your needs! Thanks Sara - we hope to return!

We had the perfect getaway at the pebble, the cottage was very homey and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place to unwind while listening to the sounds of the waves at any time of day! You can tell Catherine has put thought into every detail of the stay, from the ample seating, to the kayaks, and even a bottle of wine and chocolates upon arrival, Catherine has thought of everything and anything you might need. We really enjoyed the added touch of having a bin for vegetarian food scraps to feed the goats! Also the sunsets over Lake Huron both from the cottage and on the beach a few steps away were beautiful!

Wow!! This is a beautiful place…exactly as you see in the pictures. The outdoor shower was a nice feature. The outdoor space is comfortable and spacious. The fire pit was set up for us, all we had to do was light it. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. There are a number of steps to the beach but worth the walk as nothing beats a Lake Huron sunset. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board on the calm water. The beach area is very private , only a few others around. We loved this place and will be returning next year!!

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. The location is amazing, hot tub helps wind down and the view of the lake at sundown was priceless. David’s place was extremely clean and had all the useful kitchen utensils we needed. We enjoyed everything the house had to offer. Family time at this stay was the best! David was very responsive and friendly. Can wait to return next year!

The place is even more beautiful than the photos! Alexis’s place was spotless, had everything you would need, the beds were extremely comfortable, lots of space, peaceful, and the beach and view was gorgeous. The beach is sandy- not rocky and very slowly gets deeper but the water is pretty shallow (waist height) so great for kids or people looking to just cool off. We even found lots of sea glass for art! The stairs were easy to go up and down, but the golf cart was a great option if you didn’t want to or were unable to use the stairs. Just a short drive from grand bend, but Alexis gave many local activities and recommendations. I highly recommend bringing bug repellents. Alexis was very quick to respond, organized, and the best host I’ve communicated with on Airbnb. We would all love to come back!
