“If you’re thinking of booking, this is your sign. Go ahead and do it! You won’t be disappointed. My fiancé and I decided to get away from the city and head to hike for a little rest and relaxation. We found Sheri’s place, and it was perfect since it let us bring our doggo with us! We booked soon after. Even a month out, Sheri was responsive and communicative. Day of check-in, she sent us info that made check-in a breeze. She even let me know the condiments and basics that she had in the kitchen. She really was great. But let’s talk about the place. Absolutely stunning. Super clean and welcoming, but the view is amazing. Our dog was obsessed with the glass wall that showed all the trees, birds, and squirrels that the lake had to offer. My fiancé is a birdwatcher, and he has a wonderful time sitting on the couch and looking outside. While the weather was rainy, it was gorgeous to watch. There’s a screened in porch and patio dirt other that we wish we could have used, but we have an excuse for next time. A few tips about the place: 1) the house is located on the lakefront, so the last couple of miles takes you off the main paved highway and to a dirt road. Move slow, or you’ll miss the driveway like we did lol. If it’s super rainy, park on the pavement up top. You run the risk of getting stuck otherwise. 2) the path down to the lake is moderately steep, but it’s paved/graveled most of the way. However, it’s slick when wet. Wear good shoes. 3) the stove is propane and outside on the screened porch but made me want a propane stove so bad. 4) there were what my fiancé calls “sugar ants” all on the ground outside where our car was. I thought it was fine, but by the end of our stay, they had infiltrated the car. Watch out for those. Thankfully, she has bug spray that helped rid of the problem quickly. 5) this house has wonderful amenities and cell service, but it was lovely to unplug for a few days. If that’s what you’re looking for, I would book ASAP. Overall, so happy we chose to stay and we hope to be back in the future!”

The decor of the home was so beautiful and very comfy. i swear we sat every possible place and it was so comfortable no matter what even the kitchen bench. The bath was amazing and huge the perfect bathtub for sure. Very clean and left us with lysol we felt extra clean and provided us with granola and oatmeal which was lovely. Great kitchen to cook in as well. The local store was a couple minutes away very convenient and Albany was 30 minutes away not a bad drive at all it was so pretty.
