Noka House is beautifully designed and decorated, making it such a pleasure to live in. Nyoman was a perfect host; friendly and helpful, and even driving us to the local Kecak fire dance, which was excellent. Ubud itself is chaotic and busy; but Noka House is like an oasis of calm. We enjoyed an early morning walk in the nearby rice fields, and loved our breakfasts at Akamana, a cafe which was a short walk along the main road. Other highlights included: Oreo the house cat; watching the rain from the terrace followed by a magnificent rainbow; relaxing by the pool; yoga on the terrace… It was hard to leave!

Lovely house overlooking a rice terrace and small private garden including a koi pond and Bali hut. Each bedroom had its own large bathroom and are separated by a full kitchen where Putu cooked us delicious breakfast each morning. It’s short walk down the beach, and you can walk to Balian Beach at low tide. Wayan can also organise a scooter for you to hire. Backs onto the main road so unfortunately a little noisy with traffic, but otherwise we loved staying there.

Staying at Ayu’s cottages in the Balinese rice fields at SunsetSala was an unforgettable experience. The house was cozy and chill, with an overwhelming sense of peace. Ayu is incredibly kind, cheerful, and always ready to help. Her cooking is fantastic—her omelettes are superb, and her nasi goreng is out of this world. I loved Ayu; it felt like being at home. Leaving that place broke my heart. Being amidst the rice fields, you are in direct contact with nature, its sounds, and the calls of animals throughout the day, along with the presence of workers and village children. From the cottages, you can admire the most stunning sunrises and sunsets over the rice fields. It was a beautiful experience that I would absolutely recommend, especially for couples. There are various experiences to try, such as visiting the local market at 4 AM, attending a ceremony in the garden, stargazing, and much more.

Great, cozy little bungalow away from the hustle and bustle but so close to town. Wi-Fi worked well, AC was great and the fully stocked kitchen was wonderful. The yard and street to get to the house does get pretty muddy and messy when it rains but that’s to be expected during rainy season. Yes you hear the roosters, but that’s Bali and didn’t bother me one bit ☺️ it’s like your own little oasis! I slept so good! Would definitely come back.

Kadek goes above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay . This Airbnb is not only beautiful with great views and privacy, but also close to a few cafes for great breakfast and lunch. Exactly what you need when you are visiting ubud and need a quick enjoyable breakfast.

Great remarkably quiet Place in the middle of Ubud. We enjoyed the Pool a lot for relaxing before and after exploring Ubud and the area with the Kids. Super helpful inclusive recommmendations for driver, in House Massage etc. Really enjoyed it!

awesome villa in the rice field, the host were very friendly and lovely, and we definitively love this place. they offer a lot of service and recommendations. we walked through the rice fields starting from the villa. The restaurant is also very tasty and the view from there is amazing.

We had an incredible stay at this truly special villa. Nestled in the middle of lush rice terraces, coconut trees, and mountains, the setting is absolutely breathtaking—photos don’t do it justice. Our host, Romain, was brilliant—very responsive and helpful, providing lots of useful information and suggestions before our stay. But what made the trip unforgettable was Koplo, our driver and guide. He lives in the village and gave us a real insight into Balinese life—introducing us to his family, showing us around his village, and taking us well off the tourist trail. Highlights included Batukaru Temple at sunrise, cycling through the Jatiluwih rice terraces on e-bikes, stopping at a coffee plantation and a natural hot spring—all organised by Koplo. He also arranged delicious Balinese meals cooked at the villa. If you're after nightlife and beaches, this place isn't for you. But if you want peace, nature, stunning scenery and an authentic cultural experience, Villa Loti is perfect!

Everything was perfect! Position, Villa was very clean and comfortable in a very nice area of Ubud, close to everything you need! Kadek was very sweet and available, highly recommended 🤎

Made’s place was absolutely perfect! Beautiful and artistically crafted interior and exquisite views of nature. There are hiking trails nearby and the pool is by a flowing stream that produces the most calming sounds. There is a grand tub that could likely accommodate two people, and the air conditioner worked well. He and his family made me feel so welcomed right from the start and are all extremely attentive to your needs and questions. This is a truly place of love and peace. Highly recommended!

Villa Gita is the kind of place where you go to really get away and relax. It’s great for a group of people who want to be away from the hustle and bustle and really live in a real Balinese village. You’ll see perfectly dark skies at night from the pool and be spoiled be the beauty of nature around the property. The staff at the house was so nice and helpful. Ayu will organize great food and will organize picking up any grocery and special items for you as you’re around a 10 minute scooter ride from the nearest mini mart. Theres a local guy named Wayan who drove our party around the island and was completely sweet and informative about sites to see and local knowledge. He even took me to a special Barong cleansing ceremony in the mountains that was maybe the highlight of my weeks spent in Bali this round. His rates are very reasonable and such a better way to drive around than trying to rent a car. It’s an amazing place to kick off epic motorcycle journeys on epic country roads

Fantastic Stay – Highly Recommend! Our experience at this villa was amazing. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. While there was a bit of a walk from the drop-off point, the staff was ready to greet us, assist with our bags, and escort us to the villa. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and we especially appreciated that two of the three bathrooms were outdoors—perfect for rinsing off after a swim without tracking water through the house. The pool was a great size, providing both entertainment and relaxation. Breakfast was just what we needed to start our day, and overall, the villa offered a perfect balance of comfort and convenience. We highly recommend staying here and would definitely return! First off, we started at another villa and were not satisfied with the accommodations. I found this Villa by Agus and they responded immediately and allowed us to check in the same day within 2h of requesting. Walking through the wooden doors to the ambiance of the fountain pool and the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms as well as kitchen are overwhelmingly perfect. We cooked some of our own meals and ordered a meal and drinks from the host. They offer all kinds of services of which we had the 90min massage, flowers, dinners and beverages. They offer so much more, including the history of the Villa. The host, his wife and family and cute pups are so very kind and gracious. This was the perfect stay for us especially for spring break and taking time away. Relaxing, beautiful, and clean. I would choose this villa again and again. I was so pleased with the location, friendliness of the host, and truly peaceful tropical setting. Thank you.

Such a beautiful villa, the daily cleaning was incredible, they were kind to accommodate early breakfasts so the children could eat before school. Helped us with laundry, all requests. The staff were friendly with my children, kind, assisted us with coming down the lane with bags and in the rain at times. We also enjoyed a couple of massages which was just lovely too! The only negative really was the location for us as a family was a challenge. In heavy rain the road leading up to the villa is a bit "off the beaten track" no concrete and it literally turned into a river. I am heavily pregnant and we have 2 young children so this was challenging. If you have a bike its easy to get around, but in my case I had to GOJEK or GRAB. It's too far for them to come, large waits, lots of cancels so it was very isolating and hard. Its also far from UBUD in traffic. 10/10 if you intend to stay in the one location, if you want to travel around something to consider.

Rustic house away from any noise and people. The hosts were fantastic and always wanted to help ensure our stay was enjoyable. Even gave us fresh coconuts on arrival and helped us rent a scooter for a good price. Would recommend to anyone wanting some peace and quiet.

I stayed at the cottage for 4 nights! Its location is in the middle of nowhere, it's in the forest near the Jattiluwih and Babahan rice fields.We walked to them for about an hour, practically among them. At a distance of 30 minutes on foot is the Besikaluna Waterfall, which is sacred, beautiful, there was not a single tourist. It's a magical place in the middle of nature, you can only hear the voice of the forest, the crickets. It's an indescribable silence, it's only for those who want to break contact with other people, you can meet only a few locals because it's far from the village. We didn't find any tourists and we liked that. In the cottage there were squirrels, lizards and other animals, which is normal being an open plan. We fell in love, it's paradise! You need a car or a scooter to go somewhere else,we just stayed there and walked around nearby sights. It was magical!the staff was helpful, They cleaned our room daily and were nice. There is a warung 3 minutes away.Thank you!

For those that want a very relaxing and secluded holiday away from the other busy places in Bali, we can’t recommend this place enough. Paired with the great food at the ecolodge and all the wildlife you get to see, this place provides everything you’d want for a quiet holiday.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hidden Gem — Unforgettable Stay! Asa Villa is hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed. It’s absolutely massive — way bigger than most villas you’ll find. Usually places like this are not being rented for tourist stays, its TOP level of villa for Bali. The villa is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained with huge pool, multiple relaxing areas. All decorated in style, super clean 👌 It offers total peace and privacy. The view over the jungle and ocean is breathtaking — it truly feels like your own private paradise. The owners and local staff are wonderful, welcoming, and make everything feel even more special. If you’re lucky enough to find Asa Villa available, book it immediately. Places like this come around extremely rarely , and I’m already dreaming of my next visit. Hint - don’t be afraid of location a bit outside main city area - you can easily order all you need delivered by grab/Gojek if you are not feeling like going shopping yourself 😉

Best place we stayed in Bali! Almost no tourists, you’re in a beautiful area with rice fields in front of your place and two minutes by walk from a stunning beach and great surfing spot. The house is almost all open, the bathroom and kitchen are outside but very pretty and overall quite comfortable, even when it was raining it was perfectly livable. We really enjoyed our time here compared to other overpriced and overcrowded areas of bali, if you want to experience actual balinese culture and lifestyle this is the place to be :)))

Cannot rave enough about the place, it was more than you could wish for! Stunning picturesque surroundings, easy to get to location with a lot of activities nearby, very comfortable and beautifully designed villas with all the amenities and service of a 5 star hotel. Really grateful to the staff and the owner who made our stay unforgettable( we have even extended because we have enjoyed it so much) and our anniversary special by very special flowers decoration in our room and a candle lit dinner. The villas are more than reasonably price and extra services are very affordable. Highly recommend their spa, it’s an absolute must while you are here with very skilful therapists.

This peaceful place was an amazing space. Had great areas for relaxing, quite pool and located away from the main street but close enough to walk everywhere. The host were sensational, always checking in on you but giving you space when you need it. Would recommend this spot for a few mates, or a couple to relax but be close to the action.

We have been living in Denpasar for one year, but we are originally from the U.S. where we lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains, had a garden, and spent our evenings by the campfire. We were looking for a place to get away for our son’s 16th birthday and hoped for somewhere away from traffic and surrounded by trees. We could not have dreamed that we would find a place that would ease our homesickness while also allowing us to experience the true beauty of the real Bali. If we could move into the cabin, we would in a heartbeat. The staff is incredible and they immediately made us feel like family. We have officially named the cabin our “home away from home” and hope to return when we begin to feel homesick. If you love the outdoors, gardens, trails, flowers, and campfires, you will not be disappointed.
