Holiday rentals with lake access in Burke

We couldn’t have found a more perfect place to spend a weekend away from DC. It was cozy, peaceful, and had all the amenities. Gary met us when we arrived and showed some of the natural beauties the area had to offer-turtles, catfish, a cardinal’s nest, bluebirds, purple martins. The stars at night are breathtaking. Thanks you for making us feel right at home, Gary!

Loved this place. Very quiet and peaceful. Came in for work, but took advantage of the walking trails and nearby neighborhood. Colleen was a great host, the house was spacious and beautiful. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet, clean and comfortable. Jack is very responsive and friendly. House and property are peaceful and a there’s a small play ground with swings just outside the door which was perfect for kids. Would absolutely stay again.

Our group of 10 had a very comfortable stay at John's place over a weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay! We stayed for 3 nights. There were 6 of us and everyone had a bed (one was a couple). The three full bathrooms accommodated all of our guests. House was clean with cleaning supplies and a nice kitchen. Each room even had its own tv and a mirror! Pretty close to Walmart, shopping centers and food spots. Driveway may be tricky for some (slightly uphill, and on a main street), but we managed well. I highly recommend for a big group!

Great place. Very spacious, has plenty of room for our whole family, there were 7 adults, 1 child and 1 dog. We all had room to relax in our own spaces after a day of sight seeing together. Also nice shared space that we could spend family time together. Would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at this Harper’s Ferry home. Of all the places we have stayed, we appreciated not needing to pack the basics! Everything was provided and the hosts were very communicative and helpful. The home heated/cooled well, the space was clean and well kept. We hoped for a slightly more private location, but saw numerous deer at all times of day and it was a quiet neighborhood. The bunkbeds are in the basement, down the spiral staircase, with a door to the outside. It was a great space for our slightly older kids. We spent quite a bit of time hanging around the foosball table or reading in the little nook! Thank you for the relaxing stay.

Stayed here during our bike ride on the C&O trail. It was about 1 mile off of the trail, and very easy to find. It was exactly what we needed. Multiple showers, two bedrooms, and laundry-everyone in our group was able to get refreshed for another day on the trail! There weren’t restaurants in the area, but plenty of options on DoorDash. Our beds were extremely comfortable. This was our best stay on the trail for sure!

This was my fourth stay with Theo and every time, it seems like he includes something to make the stay more enjoyable. Very responsive to any questions or issues that arise. Always flexible! I love it there and it is definitely my home away from home! I look forward to my next stay!

Let me start off by saying that my Husband and I had an absolutely AMAZING time staying at Hussain's place! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectation. The communication with Hussain was always smooth and prompt, making the booking process hassle-free. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and were given a tour of the property. The space was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The amenities provided were top-notch, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, with a Starbucks, Smoothie King, Nail Spa, and Organic food store, all nearby. In the neighborhood, there were several hiking trails. We enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of great dining options nearby. Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing. We cannot recommend Hussain and his property highly enough. Thank you for such a memorable stay—we will definitely be back!

I enjoyed my stay and was surprised when John on his own sent me a list of things to do and restaurants around the area. He was very helpful to make sure I had all I needed in the house. The place was clean and well maintained. No complaints, definitely recommend if you want to be near DC but not stay in the DC area to rest.

Our family enjoyed our stay the Mountain Mama property. Communication was great from booking through checkout. The house was big enough for our family of 7 to spread out nicely. There were plenty of books and games to entertain our kiddos. Enjoying the fireplace while watching a family movie was perfect for a cold weekend.

Good quiet place to stay near Harper’s Ferry. Place was clean, hot tub was nice we were able to watch deer next door and across the street hang out and graze. Everything was in place and clean. Beds were soft and comfortable. The only issue that I have is the rocks that line the driveway especially when turning out of the driveway will catch lower vehicles and cars it caused a little damage to my wife’s car and be careful where you park there is an oak tree with dead and rotting limbs that need to be trimmed that are right above the area where cars would park if you have more than one car. If I were to ever come back to Harper’s Ferry I would definitely stay there again.

Jennifer and Eric were very great hosts! The place was just as advertised. Jennifer was very responsive and had helpful recommendations. The family let our kids play in their backyard and on the trampoline which my kids loved. The treehouse is also a very nice touch for the kids, as is the heated floor in the bathroom for the grownups. It’s a beautiful area. Would definitely stay again!!

Our group had a wonderful stay. The land was beautiful, quiet and we all felt comfortable. We would definitely like to come back next year!
