Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Burlington

We loved our stay at Hart house. We were surprised to arrive and see it really was right across the street from the temple. It was an amazing view, not to mention the view of the mississippi river down the hill. The home is appointed in antique and arts & craft period pieces. There was lots of room for our family of 6 too. It was beautiful and just fantastic. The weather got cold and very windy and we enjoyed staying indoors that evening and enjoying the beautiful home and view. This is not a comment on the house but Nauvoo in general for April. There is very little to eat in town. There is no grocery store in town and Keokuk 20+min away is the closest city with grocery stores. We decided we’d just eat out. Well, Casey’s gas station is the only place open for breakfast before 10am, and gratefully, their breakfast pizza and breakfast wraps are ok. For dinner, the nauvoo inn is open on the weekend but on a weekday night, the Red Front is all that’s open. Just a heads up!

Great location, walkable to town square. Loved the homes charm, felt like home and it had a host of amenities, so we had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend.

Thankful we found this house to stay for Thanksgiving! The house was clean and a good size. The sun room was PACKED with the best games for the kids and adults to stay busy (it was very cold outside during our stay) foosball, air hockey, darts, tons of board games, tv in every room, lots of blankets. The host was also very generous to stock essentials in case we forgot, like toothbrushes, shampoo, lotions, etc. the kitchen had lots of sugar, flour, coffee, etc (I feel like that’s rare at an Airbnb). We also had a winter view of the Mississippi River. 100% will stay here again.

Unforgettable getaway by the Mississippi! This charming Airbnb overlooks the majestic Keokuk dam. Our private suite (one side of a house) with a private entrance, was a serene escape from typical hotels. Loved the spacious shower with a seat and plenty of hot water and pressure – a small but significant luxury! A convenient location, with food, coffee, and geode hunting just 5 - 10 minutes away. The best part of our stay came from the incredible hospitality of our hosts. Their generous invitation for a tour of their farm was an unexpected delight that transformed our weekend into a truly memorable adventure. We were greeted by a heartwarming scene of sheep and their impossibly adorable newborn lambs. They had cows, chickens, donkeys, and then… the pièce de résistance… fainting goats! Our son's (and let's be honest, our own!) excitement reached peak levels. It was an experience with tranquility, stunning views, and the genuine warmth of its hosts. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

When we first stepped into this home, we were all hit with nostalgia. There were so many things in this home that brought back forgotten memories of Grandpa's house or a childhood cabin. The home was clean and the 3 bedrooms were so handy. We spent the evening playing Battleship and watching Charlotte's Web on VHS on bunk beds. It was like being a kid again. There was a ping pong table and bean bag boards in the basement. We explored the 3 acres and the cemetery next door. It was nice parking our vehicle in the garage as it was raining when it was time to leave. The land is beautiful. It truly felt like our own family's cabin. Joseph was a great communicator and we appreciated this homey home on the last night of a very long road trip. We all highly recommend it!

We had a great stay at the Hamilton House! It's a beautiful classic old home with modern comfort. there was plenty of room for our group. Sydni was very responsive and went the extra mile to provide us with information on rockhounding in the area.

The apartment is super clean and has wonderful amenities. Very comfortable, quiet, and a stone’s throw from the Amtrak train depot, parks, the post office, the movie theater, a grocery store, and downtown’s shops, coffee shops, restaurants and bars. A+++! Loved the stay. Thank you.
