The Lake house was one beautiful property. It was decorated so nicely for Christmas. The home was furnished with all that we needed & Dana was excellent communicating. We enjoyed our stay.

What a terrific location and awesome property! We enjoyed our stay here tremendously and will definitely be back in the future. The space is just as described and even more charming in person. The location - above and overlooking the center of town (and a great coffee shop) - makes this property one of a kind. Water Valley is well-suited for no-stress, aimless meanderings through awesome local stores, eateries, and shops. It is also convenient to everything Oxford has to offer. Kagan is on our very short list of top hosts. He is the perfect mix of responsiveness, if needed, and hands-off, relaxed guest service.

This was the fifth time we’ve stayed at John’s place. We come to northeast Mississippi 2-3 times a year, and Houlka seems to be within an hour of everything in that area of the state. It’s always the perfect spot for us when we come that way.
