Solomons is a quaint island located a little over an hour from both Washington DC and Annapolis. Enjoy shared use of our private beach and pier, kayaks and bikes. Go crabbing or fishing off the pier and walk to some of the local establishments like Island Hideaway or CD Cafe for a delicious seafood dinner. Prepare to be awed by the gorgeous sunsets!
“Andrea’s place is great! Even though her house is across the street & they use the dock & beach we really never saw them & had it all to ourselves. Restaurants, bars, ice cream, shops etc are all within walking distance. We set up chairs & an umbrella on the little beach & used the paddle boards. It was super fun. The hot water was broken but Andrea notified us before we came giving us the option to cancel with full refund. We went anyways & they gave us access to their shower across the street, there was also an outdoor shower as well so we didn’t find it to be a major inconvenience for the short time we were there. Will be back!”
Our cozy studio apartment sets on the Patuxent River. With the perfect views of Myrtle Beach, Point Patient and Thomas Johnson Bridge. Relax watching the boats and birds or take a walk along the water for a lovely neighborhood to stroll for 2.5 miles. Your favorite moments may be when you wake to see the sun rise and again to see the orange sky set. Just over the bridge from the popular Solomon's Island which is full of fabulous restaurants, boat rentals, charter fishing and summer concerts.
“The basement studio apartment was very comfortable and clean. As someone highlighted in a previous review the kitchen doesn’t have a fixed stove but Tom and Michele do have an electric portable stove and toaster oven which is very easy to use. Not only did they supply all the kitchen essentials but also included really thoughtful items like insect repellent, shampoo and bottles of water. It was a lovely touch. The only thing I would highlight is that there is very little natural light in the room itself but the outdoor view and swing seat make up for it. There is a lot to do in the local area from great restaurants, bars and fantastic state parks to enjoy the fresh air. Definitely worth a visit and Tom and Michele were fantastic hosts and provided lots of great recommendations along with clear instructions on how to get to the property etc. They were also really good at giving us our space. We would definitely stay at this amazing AirBnb again.”
Bright & cheery 1 bedroom waterfront apartment nestled on the banks of the St. Mary's River. Amazing, dreamy views. It's a sweet spot to relax and enjoy a quiet get-away or launch a kayak, take a walk, enjoy great food cuisine. We sit next to St. Mary's College of MD and Historic St. Mary's City. You may see college sailing races, crew teams rowing, or the historic Maryland Dove sailing down the river. It's lovely here fall, winter, spring, summer! SUNSETS!
“For the better part of the last ten years my wife & I have celebrated our June anniversary somewhere on Maryland water. This year for our 31st anniversary I chose St. Mary’s as our destination. We both love history, being around water and other outdoor activities; hiking, biking and kayaking. After reading the reviews of this apartment I booked it, only hoping things were as described and shown in the pictures. Well, we were not disappointed, as this is simply a spectacular setting on the banks of the St. Mary’s River, with a view across the cape of St. Mary’s College. Everything was as described, and in person it was even better; the beautiful decoration and design of the apartment, the spacious kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom, not to mention the many personal touches and extra amenities. Theresa was in constant touch, providing us with ideas for dining, detailed directions to the apartment, and even going out of her way to purchase perhaps the most delicious muffins ever for our first breakfast. The space out on the boat dock was simply perfect, whether we used it during the day for reading, protected from the sun by the shade sails or enjoying a few glasses of wine at night in the glow of the mini string lights, creating the PERFECT ambience to relax after a day of sightseeing. Our trip didn’t end without Theresa providing one more suggestion - traveling through Solomon’s Island and stopping by Lotus Kitchen for a breakfast croissant and delicious Key Lime pie! It really was the most perfect stay - thank you!”
