Shepherd hut -secluded riverside location

Our isolated shepherd’s hut is a cosy place with a large spacious shower and a comfortable king size bed. Recently fitted yet with some antique features. It has a private river view with its own private picnic table on the river too. There is a large garden area and private mooring. A porch area at the front and a cosy kitchen area to relax with a glass of wine or cup of coffee...we provide toaster, kettle, fridge and microwave and there’s a fire pit on request and a local Tesco very close by.

West Row lies on the north bank of the navigable River Lark, 2 miles west of the town of Mildenhall, and just south of the large airbase RAF Mildenhall occupied by USAF - a plane spotters dream. The cosy full sized double bed is made up for you upon arrival with beautiful cotton bed linen. To keep warm on cooler evenings logs are supplied for the woodburner. Fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries are provided in the en-suite shower room, complete with vanity sink, plumbed toilet and shower.

Visitors will have the use of the hut, stunning firepit & BBQ. A beautiful private wood-fired hot tub is attached for your exclusive use. There is also a sauna a few steps away. The lake is well fenced, secure & very private. Visitors are welcome to fish in the very well-stocked specimen Carp lake, with multiple fish approaching 40lb.

Lots of lovely local walks. Easy access to the A14 & A1 and perfect location for exploring local villages.

Conveniently located for exploring Cambridge and surrounding areas, with free parking onsite, a frequent bus or an easy cycle to the city centre, and several excellent cafés, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. Set on the edge of our family farm, surrounded by wildflowers, our railway cabin is a tranquil retreat in the picturesque village of Ashwell. Recently done up to a high standard, it makes for the perfect base if you are exploring the village or visiting friends. The cabin has ensuite facilities and a king-size double bed. Underfloor heating keeps it cosy all year round and an outdoor eating area and firepit make it a great place to relax and enjoy the spectacular sunsets.

Willowfen Retreat is a single Luxury Shepherds Hut which is accessed by its own private gravel track. It sits in its own (dog/pet friendly) fenced garden away from the owners own property. Inside there is a kitchen and ensuite shower room. It is a very peaceful setting ideal location for exploring The Fens, The Wash and The Broads. Complementary basket of milk, bread, butter, jam, free range eggs etc is supplied to help you settle in.
