Monthly Rentals in Campitello

The purpose of my stay was: experience how life in Corsica is out of season and in a real Corsican village. Despite the fact that I didn't have a job there and I sometimes found it a shame not to be able to “get away” from “my” mountain for a sandwich and of course a “étrangère” stay, it worked quite a bit in terms of feeling. After 3.5 months, the village and its surroundings feel very familiar and I almost feel family with Françoise and her mother. We didn't walk the door flat, but they were, even though they only speak French and Corsican, extremely accessible. I miss the area and am already looking for a way to go back to it.

What a gem. A true taste of Corsica. A hideaway in the mountains. Amazing views. The house is beautifully restored and has so much character and history that it felt like a privelige to stay there. The hosts are Christian and Marie-Ange, who represent true Corsican hospitality and kindness. It was a wonderful week!

We had a lovely stay in Campitello. This small secluded village shows us the face of Corsica in the mountains. Street vendors follow one another during the week: bread, vegetables, meat and fish! The plum tree of the land was filled with fruit for our taste buds enjoyment. Thank you Regina and Jean for your hospitality and responsiveness when we arrived.
