Holiday rentals with a kayak in Carlsbad

We are repeat renters at this house. We love it. Can walk to the sand in about 5 steps out the back to the Bay or 5 minutes out the front to get to the ocean side. We walked to every meal and went for multiple mile scenic walks each day in all directions. Also, super close to a lot of key destinations. We went to Sea World, Padres, La Jolla, and even Disneyland.

We loved Victoria’s place! The rooftop deck was amazing, the location was great - walkable to the beach, restaurants, and activities, and the house was very comfortable.

We had an amazing stay at Daniel’s place! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The space is bright and welcoming, with plenty of windows that offer a stunning ocean view. The pool and spa were the perfect spots to relax and unwind. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and we loved having fun games to play both inside and outside in the backyard. The location was also a huge plus and close to restaurants and shopping, making it super convenient. Daniel was an outstanding host, very responsive, helpful, and always ensuring we had everything we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic getaway!

This is our second year staying at this property and we are already talking about a 2026 reservation. Love, love, love this house! It has a fabulous kitchen, relaxing and comfortable living spaces and very nice bedrooms. The outdoor space is breathtaking and has a private beach area with outdoor firepit. We enjoyed snacks and drinks on the outdoor patio as well. We can't wait to return to this wonderful beach getaway.

Lisa’s place was the perfect home base to stay in Encinitas, the backyard was a beautiful oasis and the cottage is surprisingly spacious inside. We used the space as a live/ work remote space for a week and loved our stay. Specifically the king bed was extremely comfortable for sleeping and this place is also a quick drive to everything you want to visit in Cardiff or Encinitas! Thank you!

This is a great location in Carlsbad, directly across from the beach and just a few blocks from the Carlsbad Village. The unit is recently renovated and is spotless. Wyatt is a great host who is very helpful and responds extremely quickly. If you're looking for a great place to stay in Carlsbad, this is it!

Stay here if you are visiting SD! The house is comfortable, clean, and kid friendly! Wendy/co-host was super responsive, when we had any questions. You are in a quiet neighborhood, so it was easy to just fall asleep. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Hectors place was incredibly clean, roomy, and perfect for our night. The unique decor and old-time charm of the building brings you back to an older San Diego space. Located in Chicano Park, you are very close to a lot of the things that are available in downtown San Diego. Definitely recommend Carpooling since there is only street space available.

Wonderful peaceful location with a great Mexican restaurant right around the corner! The outdoor spaces are especially nice and we really loved that it was pet friendly. Hosts were very responsive and friendly. It was our second visit and we will certainly look to book their place again in the future.

It was wonderful staying at Cheryl’s cottage! The location is great! The beach is a block away, places to eat a few feet away and at the same time once you’re in the cottage you feel you’re in a zen place to just relax. Would definitely rebook!

Karin was a great host! The cottage was as nice as it was described and so close to the beach/restaurants/activities. I highly recommend this one!

We absolutely loved our stay. The onsite amenities were so amazing. We biked everywhere. We even fit in a surfing lesson. At PB surf shop down the boardwalk at Pacific Beach. The fireplace was great because it was a little chilly at night. We even watched the DVD Zorro for family movie night while eating pizza from a pizza place just around the corner. The next night we biked to play volleyball on the bayside after a trip to the San Diego Zoo and got take out from Craft after roller coaster rides at Belmont Park. We highly recommend this place and definitely plan to come back here.

We had an incredible stay at Dawn's home in Mission Beach. She was extremely responsive before and during our stay when we had a question or needed help. The location of her home was perfectly situated for our family- closer to the bay side but only a block or so away from the ocean side. The included toys, games, and books were amazing for our seven year old. We all enjoyed a great bike ride around the bay, too! The kitchen had lots of extra small appliances and amenities that made it easy to cook many meals during our stay. The outdoor firepit and patio made for relaxing evenings with a view of the Sea World fireworks. In the listing, Dawn mentions that the garage is a tight fit for larger vehicles. Parking our minivan was very tight so we appreciated Dawn's heads up that we could keep the garage door open so that we didn't need to use street parking.
