My husband and I loved the cozy cottage by the bay. The view is absolutely breathtaking and it is quiet and private. It was the perfect getaway we needed. Violet is so kind and responsive. She knows all about what’s around in the area. We had everything we needed at the cottage. We didn’t have to bring sheets or towels which was a huge plus. Me and my husband had a great weekend! We checked in Friday and then Saturday drove down to Harkers Island to hop on the ferry to cape lookout where we saw the horses and Cape Lookout lighthouse. Afterwards we grabbed lunch at Fish Hook and then came back to Cedar Island and walked the Lola Road Trail. That night we went to Wild Wills Revenge for the prime rib dinner and it was the best prime rib we’ve had! It’s only 15 minutes from the cottage! If you’re looking for a quiet and slow weekend then this is the place to go. Be surrounded by friendly locals and the beauty of nature.

This was my first time using Airbnb and definitely chose the perfect place to stay, perfect amount of space for 2 people, everything was very clean and they were very responsive to any questions we had! The home was exact to the pictures very comfy cozy house! Thank you for letting us stay here❤️❤️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Comfortable and well-equipped guest house in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance/5 minute drive to downtown New Bern. Patricia and Edward are attentive hosts, offering welcome restaurant and things-to-do recommendations. We will be back.

We love staying at this little cottage in Beaufort and will certainly return again. Its location and proximity to fun things cannot beat. You are able to walk or ride bikes to waterfront access points, restaurants and bars and it’s an easy car ride to Morehead or down east to Harker’s Island. There are two comfortable full-sized beds, a large bathroom with laundry facilities and everything is decorated very beach and cute. The kitchen is small but well equipped and we did make breakfast there each morning. There is also a nice backyard and deck if you need to exercise your pup or simply want to get some fresh air. We simply love this place and the owners are extremely responsive should you need anything at all.

This is our second stay at this place. We thoroughly enjoyed it, just as we did the first time. It is within walking distance to all the places we visited. It was clean. It was quiet. Leslie was very responsive to any questions we had. It was a lot of fun, and we would highly recommend a stay here.

A wonderful place. A cottage with an historic feel but plenty of room and renovated with modern conveniences. Only blocks away from Tyron Palace, dining, and the riverfront. And a delightful host.

This tiny home was super cute, clean, and cozy. Only five minute walk to the beach, great outdoor shower, and the porch was a great spot to hang out and eat dinner. Cathryn was super responsive and proactive in communication. The bed was comfortable and the space was perfect for two. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful 3 night stay at Honu Hut. Right downtown, which is what we wanted, to be able to walk to Wooden Boat show, restaurants, stores, church, waterfront. Cottage is set a bit back from street for privacy, room for one car to park in front (other building uses the other spaces) Little porch to sit on for relaxing. Fun decor and paint colors inside. Clean, bright and everything you need, full size fridge, microwave & stove & table & chairs. Super comfortable bed, small bath, but clean. Would definately recommend the Hut, and would love to stay again. Very responsive & helpful hosts.

We had the absolute pleasure of spending the weekend in this darling little cottage nestled right in the heart of downtown New Bern. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The space was cozy, thoughtfully decorated, and perfectly sized for a weekend getaway. We started our morning with breakfast at Baker’s, which is highly recommend! During the day, we explored the beautifully maintained Tryon Palace and its stunning gardens, then hopped on bikes and made our way to Brewery 99 for a laid-back afternoon. We also spent time at Martin Marietta Park, enjoying the peaceful trails and scenic views. Every activity was easily accessible, making the location ideal for anyone looking to soak in all that New Bern has to offer. This stay exceeded our expectations, and we left feeling refreshed and already dreaming about our next visit. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for charm, convenience, and a truly memorable stay.
