Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cascais

We had a lovely stay in Cascais. The house was clean and comfortable and in a very peaceful, safe and friendly neighbourhood with a private, pretty courtyard garden. It was just a short walk to the beach, marina and Cascais train station with plenty to do and lots of great bars and restaurants nearby. The train ride to Lisbon was just 35 minutes so a very easy day trip. The Lidl just a few hundred metres away was also perfect for getting anything you need - fresh produce, good quality and very good value. Mauricio was a great host, keeping in touch and helping out with anything we needed. I would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely house.

We had a pleasant stay at Paula and Anselmo's. The accommodation is clean and cozy and the garden is a real plus. Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness. We recommend it!

The small house is really charming and renovated with a lot of love for detail. It is relatively close to the train station (good for excursions by train or bus) but is still quiet. Those who attach great importance to daylight could be disappointed (the windows are not that big, which is certainly beneficial in summer). Cleverly made: the "hideaway" for buckets and drying rack in the shower cubicle. We (both over 70) got used to the metal spiral staircase to the sleeping floor better than we thought. Hosts Ana and Raphael were quick to respond to any problem or need.

I agree with all the other positive reviews - this is a wonderful place to stay! Really enjoyed the space and the variety of activities including the pool, table tennis and chess board. Close to everything including the beach. Easy communication with the host who is very friendly. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The house is a very comfortable space for a family with two kids. Specious enough and located in quiet area. It is well maintained and had everything we needed. The only thing is electric lightning in the living room which is too dim and not very pleasant for eyes. Very good supermarket is just around the corner, though no restaurants or cafes around. If you have a car it shouldn't be a problem as there is huge shopping mall with a great food court in 5 min drive. Particia is a great host, very helpful and friendly, she made our stay nice and cozy. All in all, we wouldn't think of any other option if we came to Sintra again. We would love to come back. I definitely recommend this place.

We had a great stay here, it was perfect for our family vacation. The house is beautiful and very well taken care of, with spacious bedrooms, a large family room and well-equipped kitchen. The garden and pool were also lovely - private and quiet and a great place to hang out. The beach and train station were both a short walk, and Estoril is well-situated for trips to Lisbon and Cascais or to explore towns along the coast. Catarina was a fantastic host and Dona Gilda helped with anything we needed during the stay.

Cris and Frederik were great hosts and took great care of a small incident. The apartment is great and you are quickly in Lisbon and on the beach.

We had a wonderful time at Anthony’s place in Cascais. It was the perfect size for my husband and infant daughter. He provided a travel crib and highchair. The location is amazing! It was steps from many great restaurants and a very short walk to the waterfront. I highly recommend Anthony’s place for your stay in Cascais.

The apartment is bigger than it looks in the photos,everything is very clean,a quiet area but well communicated,Maria welcomed us to give us the keys and explained everything very well,I will repeat if I come back there

Maria's place was in an excellent location, close to the train station, walkable to cafes, supermarket and the beach. Maria responded quickly to any questions we had. The apartment was clean, comfortable and was equipped with all that we needed. Thanks, Maria.

We had a lovely stay despite the fickle weather this week. Bridgett asked us several times if we needed anything. The accommodation is very nice. Tastefully decorated. Thank you very much.

Maria met us at the building and got us settled in the unit. She was a lovely host with great, quick responses to our questions (messages). Her unit is in a residential area and therefore a more authentic Portuguese experience. Very secure building and the neighborhood felt very safe. There’s a small grocery store adjacent the building as well as a coffee shop and restaurant (menu in Portuguese only which speaks to the authentic experience). The unit was well equipped. A 15 - 20minute walk to the waterfront/marina where there is a small beach and plenty of restaurants. A short Uber ride to Cascais shopping centre. We would definitely return to Maria’s unit and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Edwin and his mother Maria were wonderful hosts. They met us upon our arrival and showed us around the apartment. Maria took one of our guests out around town and showed her all the cool historic spots. The water heater broke during our stay and Edwin responded immediately and had it fixed the very next day. The apartment is above a bakery, few steps from a local small market, and 10 min drive to downtown Cascais. They had all we needed for cooking, sleeping and relaxing.

Excellent accommodations which looked exactly like in the photos. Host was very responsive and helpful, check in process was very thorough and detailed for ease of use. Property is very close to the train station with everything from Lisbon to Cascais and beyond very accessible and convenient.

A beautiful place to stay, lovely and clean and comfortable. The afternoon breeze was a cool welcome after a hot day walking Cascais and we loved being able to open the place up to make the most of it. Kitchen had everything we needed, beds were comfortable and it was a real pleasure sitting on the verandah in the morning and getting to know Milo (the kitty) while enjoying a coffee.

Beautiful property in an amazing location, not too far from Lisbon and close to other areas such as Cascais and Sintra. We typically spent our days sightseeing in other areas and then spent the evenings in Lisbon. The property also comes with a great handbook of recommendations and information on the area, along with information on the property. Great stay would 100% recommend.

What an amazing stay we had as a family of four at Daniel’s place. He was willing to meet us there late and go over everything we felt like we would need to know about the home. It’s very spacious with outdoor living spaces as well. Centrally located between Lisbon and Sintra made it easy to get anywhere you want to be within 15 minutes. Daniel was very responsive and extremely friendly. I would absolutely stay there again! Thanks again Daniel for helping us make some wonderful family memories!

Fabulous apartment which is very close to amazing restaurants and bars. V close to the beaches and the pool area is also a huge plus point

Would highly recommend, easy access to every thing, very very clean, well worth the money will be staying again. Great service well worth a multiple visits you will not be disappointed

The flat was clean and nice, as in description and photos. I love Parede area, was staying there second time, as it is just next to good local places, beach and more calm flow then in Lisbon. We did not use grill part, but the terrace was super sunny and spacy. In the kitchen you can literally find everything you need, the bed was super comfortable. I probably missed the description part that the flat is very close to railways, you can honestly hear the trains, but after first night actually it was already not so loud. Nuno was also very friendly and helpfull.

We loved our stay at Cristina’s place, it’s conveniently located and her home is perfect for a family with young children. We will certainly be back. Thanks Cristina!

The apartment was what we needed for our time in Cascais. We could walk everywhere: so many restaurants, beaches, markets, train station etc. The apartment has a lot of natural light and the dark shades work so well that we had no issues at night or early morning so we could sleep in. Mariana is an extremely responsive and proactive host. We had a few issues with the internet and Mariana was very quick to find solutions. Mariana was always on top of things and willing to help us with anything we needed. Thanks to mister Celestino for all his help as well!

Filipe was an amazing host, he was very reachable and forthcoming and everything worked out perfectly :)
