La Viola Vacation Home The vacation home is the original guest house of Villa La Viola. The vacation home is located on the village meadow Wijk aan Zee and is within walking distance (10 minutes) of the beach and the sea. The house is suitable for two people as standard, can be expanded to a maximum of 4 people for an additional fee, and consists of a living room combined with kitchen, separate toilet and a separate bathroom and 4 sleeping places on the floor. The house has its own parking facilities.

Stay in a traditional Dutch Miller’s Cabin beside an authentic 1632 windmill, surrounded by canals and nature in the North Holland countryside. Hand built during the windmill’s restoration, the cabin offers a peaceful and unique stay while still being close to Alkmaar and only 40 minutes from Amsterdam by train. I am a traditional Dutch miller born and raised in Alkmaar, and my American wife, Kelly, and I enjoy sharing this special place with guests from around the world.

Parking is free throughout the neighborhood, and there are two city bikes available to explore the area. If you have your own electric bike, you can store it safely in the enclosed storage room (on request). - Train station: 15 min. walk - City center: 8 min. by bike - Beach: 10 min. by car - Amsterdam: 35 min. by train or car

Sleep well

A light, fresh studio of 20 square metres where nothing is missing. To gain energy, be able to work quietly, also from conferences at the nearby hotel Zuiderduin. Enjoy the beautiful light falls through skylight. With a pellet stove for the (cozy) warmth. A nice separate shower and toilet. With Nespresso machine and cooking possibility for e.g. breakfast. Hot water. The sleeping area is screened off with a blackout curtain. Small seat in front of the door.

Loft in old fire station of Wijk aan Zee

Come and stay in the old Wilhelminaschool from 1884. In a quiet street is our building that was once built as a school, then served as a fire station and where we now live. This third classroom has been refurbished with a lot of love and patience and has now been transformed into a cozy 70m2 loft. Because the space has an open staircase and fairly open balustrade, the apartment is not suitable for small children. Kids from 7 years old are welcome.

Welcome to Koerhuys Alkmaar! A one-of-a-kind 16th century courtyard house located at the old city center. Walking distance to the cheese market, shops, restaurants, bars and monuments but the courtyard feels peaceful and secluded. Good base to explore Amsterdam, tullip fields, old villages, dunes and the nearby beaches! The house was lovingly renovated with a new kitchen, a modern bathroom, and antique details for a luxurious yet charming feel.

Beautiful apartment with 2 bedrooms. All to yourself. At the back, a spacious garden room with fireplace and next to it a private garden. You can heat the garden room with the fireplace. In winter, it may be too cold to sit there with just the fireplace. Bathroom has a 2-person bathtub and a double shower. The bathroom also has a washing machine and dryer. Wonderful apartment to stay completely on your own and enjoy the tranquility!
