Medieval Fort, Sud Ardèche stunning loft with pool

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

The room is equipped with a double bed (160 cm) located on the upper floor of the air-conditioned house with private bathroom. On the ground floor: shared living room with TV, Wi-Fi. The cabin is located above the Lou Abeilhs farmhouse with a bird's eye view of the valley. To access it from the parking lot there is a small path of 150 m and about forty steps. To share with another couple, on the large terrace at the bottom an outdoor kitchen, fully equipped, is at your disposal.
