Family-friendly holiday rentals in Columbia River

Great place to stay in when in Ashford! I rented few cabins there already and this one was my favorite. So well equipped with everything you may need. It was clean and comfy.

A very quiet, relaxing location. Easy beach access a couple blocks north via the State Recreation site. The house is very comfortable and nicely cared for. Nice restaurants close by. A delightful place and location that we look forward to enjoying again sometime!

Spent a lovely few days here, truly a perfect little gem on the beach. It’s tucked away near the end of the road on a quiet part of the beach where the entrance to the bay is, so you’re not necessarily looking out into the vastness of the ocean but you still get the sound of the waves and the sea air. The hot tub was perfect, the kitchen and living space is nice if you like to cook and feed people while they hang out. The garage is packed full of stuff to use like bikes, a grill (with a full propane tank!), beach toys, clam guns and even a crab pot. We were there during some razor clam dig dates and were grateful to have clam guns for use! Only got three clams but it was a lot of fun. Love going to Our Place for breakfast, the town is just a few minutes drive away. Great little getaway.

Gerritt's an exceptional communicator. Awesome place to stay. Short drive from Baker, very close to nearby ammenities, very private. Really appreciated all his help and the ability to make some fun memories at their place.

the suite itself was beautiful, quiet, and included everything listed. Kelly was an amazing person to deal with, extremely friendly, gave good recommendations for things to do or places to see. the property was in a quiet neighborhood but close to everything you can think of. would 100% stay here again

The hot tub was a definite highlight for the adults — perfect for unwinding in the evenings under the stars. Our kids had an absolute blast with the trampoline, which was a great touch and kept them entertained for hours. The host was responsive and made sure we felt welcome from start to finish. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun and relaxing place to stay!

Andre was super helpful and available, left clear instructions and described the place perfectly. It was peaceful and clean, had everything you needed and some. Great outdoor space for my dog. We enjoyed our quiet getaway! The upstairs tenants were a little heavy footed at times but nothing crazy.

We spent a long family weekend in a lovely setting that felt very private. The landscaping and view are beautiful. We enjoyed the bbq, hot tub and fire pit. The kitchen is large and easy for a group. We had 7 adults and there was plenty of together space as well as room to get away. We would definitely recommend staying here when visiting the island.

I had a wonderful stay here over the weekend! Niki and her husband were incredibly generous and friendly. On my first night, they even brought me some snacks, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Their adorable dog, Guss, and sweet cat, Mikey, added joy to the experience—they’re both incredibly friendly . The location is perfect—extremely close to both the ferry and bus stop. The place was exactly as described, with beautiful views and a cozy atmosphere. I also appreciated the extra blankets provided. Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay!

First time in Leavenworth! The home had everything we needed from ample towels, blankets, linens etc. We came with 2 families and the layout worked out well for us. Greg’s place was about 5 min drive from town and very easy to get to. The surroundings of the house were lovely with beautiful views of the mountains and quick access to the river. Felt like my grandma’s place ;)

The place was clean and spacious for the 3 of us and a dog. It is in an older neighborhood, but the house itself is well remodeled. The fenced backyard was very useful for our dog. There are a lot of wineries and the downtown close by. We had a nice dinner at La Rambla and breakfast at Alpine Kitchen. Brielle was very responsive. She even offered to bring over extra bowls for our Christmas dinner.

Great location- walkable to downtown. the house is on a busy street, but the traffic noise really didn’t bother us. Plenty of parking for a few cars if you’re traveling with a group. The house is very spacious.

The house was great. Super clean and in a beautiful location. Really appreciated the well set up kitchen. We were having a chill out style get away and this house was perfect for my family. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, loved the location.

We came back to stay a second year because that just how perfect this cozy Seaside home is!! Malia is super attentive, along with Arnie who was able to help us reset the hot tub promptly! Couldn’t recommend this place more - you won’t regret it!

Peaceful stay. Lots of pillow choices, extra blankets, and much more. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains made for easy sleeping. Fawnda is super responsive. Enjoyed the stay. Location met our needs.

An incredible gem. My new go-to in Yakima. The view is amazing--the pictures don't do it justice. The space has all the mod-conveniences, yet is also rustic and with alot of character. The larger compound is full of flora and fauna (quail frolic outside the large picture windows) of which the Chris and Bonnie invite you to enjoy. The hot tub has the same sweeping view as the unit, and the pool area is nicely taken care of and is of resort caliber. Location is close to Yakima (less than 7-8 minutes to nearest large grocery store) but very much feels countryside. The amazing rock formation behind the compound (visible from the large private deck and from inside the unit) is amazing to see in the morning at sunrise--reminds me of the Redrocks ampitheater in Colorado. Chris and Bonnie--warm, inviting, fun, and engaged with their guests (if you want them to be)--you can tell they really like hosting people in their happy Yakima-adjacent universe.

Shelly was an amazing host. She asked our favorite snacks and coffee so she could have it ready when we got there. Shelly is very responsive and thoughtful.

We had a comfortable stay with Ann. She offered many baby friendly things for us which made our stay that much more enjoyable. Recommended for families!

We loved the cottage. Great location, comfy beds, everything we needed. The only thing we would say is that the photos don’t do it justice. It’s much nicer in real life (which is always a bonus!) Judy the host made everything very easy.

This was my first experience saying, at an Airbnb, and it was a wonderful one. By far exceeded my expectations, the property was beautiful. The hosts were amazing and responsive and flexible. I come to Walla, Walla, at least twice a month. And I'm looking forward to staying here again.

Steve & Peggy's home in Matawa was neat, clean and uncluttered and easy to settle into. The three bedrooms are spacious, there's a larger central area open to the kitchen. Easy to park in the garage. A nice view of the river from the home. We didn't cook but the coffee pot was perfect! A short walk away is access to the Priest Rapids Recreation Area. There is a level trail along the river. We walked this both days we were there. Nice walk, birding opportunity and easy exercise. If you go north, the trail is paved. Going south the trail becomes gravel. Both directions are good. Communication was great, emails questions were answered promptly, and we had check in information a few days ahead. We left a pair of shoes, and Steve and Peggy have been great arranging a way for us to pick them up. Very kind and easily arranged. We would be happy to stay here again and recommend this listing. Thank you.

An amazing find that we’d love to come back to! The house was wonderful and large enough for our group! We were able to cook group meals in the kitchen and spread throughout the house. The hot tub was lovely and I’m sad we were just a couple weeks early to appreciate the pool (which is why we’ll have to come back)! The park across the street was nice and overall our experience was exceptional!
