Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Rosie's Studio

Rosie's Studio is a very special place decorated with original paintings by the late Salt Spring Island artist - Rosemaria Behncke. This large, unique cottage/studio is situated on a 25 acre farm in the peaceful south end of beautiful Saltspring Island, close to parks, beaches, Fulford Shops and the Ferry Terminal. Relax in this quiet pastoral setting and enjoy the sweep of the ocean out to volcanic Mount Baker. We welcome families with children and pets. Update: Emily the duck has passed.

Ocean views and steps to Cordova Bay Beach

We are located in beautiful Cordova Bay. The area is a favorite to locals and tourists. Cordova Bay has an expansive beach. We are a short 1 min walk to beach access and the Beach House Restaurant - closed, Mattick's Farm is a 1 km walk away. Mt Douglas trails and park is a short drive away. The guest suite is on the second floor of our house. It is spacious, fully equipped and has two private entries. There are beautiful views of the ocean, Mt Douglas, San Juan Islands and Mt Baker.

This one bedroom suite is located in brand new Saanich Ridge Estates, a residential community less than 30 minutes to downtown Victoria with the conveniences of charming Sidney just 10 minutes away. Victoria International Airport and the Swartz Bay ferry terminal – are just moments away. Great for couples. 5 mins from Cordova Bay beaches, Elk Lake, Mattick’s Farm, Gigis Deli & market, Adrienne's Restaurant, Cordova Bay Golf Course, Mount Douglas & more. 15 mins from the ferry & DT (by car). Enjoy a king sized bed and a loveseat for watching TV. The loveseat is not big enough to sleep. Pls inform me of any breakfast preferences. Located within walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants! 10min stroll gets you to gorgeous Elk Lake Park, 5min walk to Commonwealth leisure Center and 7min drive to Cordova beach.

This is a 1969 school bus lovingly converted into a tiny guest house in a whimsical garden space. We are located in a rural residential area near Sooke BC, just off the Galloping Goose Trail. (Km37) Surrounded by stunning beaches, pristine forest and coastal hikes, refreshing lakes and rivers, wildlife and natural beauty galore.
