Farmstay holiday rentals in County Cork

This is my second stay with Nanette and John, I simple love their cottage. It’s exactly what I needed. The WiFi is perfect for my work, I’m a database developer so heavy IT usage and had no issue. The view of Fenit Castle from the living room window is just stunning and the evening sunset will have you believing you’re part of a fairy tale. The home is welcoming and well equipped, Nanette supplied bread, eggs, milk, butter and cheese to get me through the first couple of days. She was there to greet me with the local free magazine and news of what had changed since the last time I visited. The cottage was very easy to find and there was ample space for me to park. The bed was comfy and the shower was constant hot water. I will continue to come back to Rose Rock Cottage, it’s simply perfect, it’s everything you need to rest and relax.

Bill was an amazing host and incredibly welcoming. His home is positively cosy and unique. It felt like visiting a family friend. He gave us suggestions on where to visit in the area, which were most welcomed. Breakfast in the morning was absolutely outstanding: fresh fruits from the garden chopped up into an amazing fruit salad, creamy yogurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, strong coffee, home made jams, antipasto and delicious breads and croissants. Certainly made us feel like royalty! Also thoroughly enjoyed meeting Maggie and Izzy, the resident black dogs and official greeting party.

Beautiful location, so perfect for a peaceful trip to Killarney but still not very difficult to get anywhere as long as you are comfortable with driving narrow winding country roads. Suited us perfectly for the weekend and an ideal location for everything we wanted and needed. Margaret was so lovely and made sure to make contact about anything we may have encountered for the weekend we were there. Overall had a brilliant stay.

Great place! Well designed and Peaceful surroundings and only 10 minutes to Clonakilty town. Hosts were friendly, welcoming and very responsive. Had a lovely dog there too!

I found this little jam for short stay with husband and kids, and what an amazing place it was!!🤩Hands down one of best places we stayed in countryside! Owners of place is wonderful couple with great communication, friendly and so nice! There is place for kids to play outside and they even got to see some farm animals !🦃 🐑 🐓 Place is clean, beds comfortable, good wifi, all kitchen equipment to cook dinner or breakfast! We slept very well and left with full heart of joy! ☘️ We will return soon most definitely!!💯

Great place to stay and get away! The family completely unplugged. We enjoyed every second there. Note that it is a bit of a drive in (hour from Killarney), so plan accordingly. Scott did a great job of describing the place and location. House was perfect size with all the amenities.

We had an unforgettable stay at Helen’s beautiful Airbnb! The home was cozy, spotless, and perfectly located for a relaxing getaway. What truly set this experience apart, however, was Helen’s incredible kindness and compassion. On our first night, our dog ran off, and we were panicked. Helen immediately stepped in to help, going above and beyond to assist us in finding him. Thanks to her quick thinking and support, we were able to locate our dog safely. Helen is not just a host; she’s a true lifesaver and friend. If you’re looking for a stay where you’ll feel genuinely cared for, look no further. We’re so grateful for her hospitality and can’t wait to return!

I cannot recommend The Old Milking Stall (Tim and Barbara) enough!! I stayed there with my family for 4 days and it was more than we could imagine! Tim and Barbara themselves are so welcoming and helpful, they couldn’t be any nicer if they tried! They provide a thoughtful welcome hamper! And for their home it is gorgeous! So beautiful from the garden to the reading nook, it’s perfect for all! Their pet dogs being your friend is a bonus! If you need any help they are willing to do what they can from taxi advice to food recommendations! If you need a place to stay in Skibbereen, The Old Milking Stall is definitely the place to stay! This special place is one we will NOT soon forget! We were lucky enough to stay at the Llama Lodge (back of property where the alpacas eat) and we fell in love with these “boys” - they just hang around the property & you really get to feel up close and personal with the Alpacas! Not to mention our little stone studio was adorable & just perfect. Mia & Simon have thought of everything for breakfast (& even brought me some gluten free bread for toast.) If this place is available- take it! Personally, so happy we stayed 2 nights- so we could spend more time with the Alpacas & relaxing here- we also got to enjoy a sunset over the water from their hilltop farm - it is truly a beautiful & unique place to stay! LASTLY- be sure to book & do the alpaca trek!! I mean where else will you guide Alpacas thru an Irish forest?

If I could give this place more than 5⭐️ I would! Frances Airbnb might be one of my favorites yet! Not only is it SO beautiful and peaceful, Frances was the most lovely host. Her attention to detail in The Snug is so apparent and she was so helpful and kind! Also we LOVED her little dog Bear, he made our stay 100x even more special. We only had two nights there but I will definitely be back for longer in the future!

David is a supreme host with excellent communication skills; the accommodation was super clean-I would highly recommend a stay as it is fit for purposes A+

Just back from an amazing 3 days stay at ‘The View’ pod :) Myself and my 9 year old fell in love with the cozy pod and really hated leaving. There really was incredible view of the sea and green fields and it has a very sunny aspect. The pod had everything we needed for our stay and was absolutely spotless! Our little Maltese Maisie and resident dog Clara had great fun playing together and Micheal and his family were so helpful and friendly. We can’t wait to visit again. Thank you 🙏

Tolle, einladende und ruhige Unterkunft! Sehr abgelegen, genau das richtige wenn man etwas Ruhe und Erholung sucht. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Martina hat extra Scones für uns gebacken🙏🏻😋 Das Bett und die Kissen sind sehr bequem. Es empfiehlt sich, Verpflegung mitzubringen, die Fahrt zum nächsten Ort (z. B. Skibereen) zieht sich …ca. 7 km Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit dort, Danke Martina💕

We really enjoyed our stay here during a short trip to Cork. The hosts were very friendly and offered lots of recommendations of things to do. The sourdough on arrival was also a nice touch! A short drive to Kinsale or Cork city. The cabin was perfect, with all the facilities you need. Would 100% recommend if visiting the area!

Really easy self checkin but Catriona came to say hi which was helpful for recommendations (Sunset Sauna was definitely a highlight). Catriona was really responsive to messages before throughout and after our stay. The cabin had everything we needed and was clean, warm and cosy. Beautiful area, probably the best view we’ve had from a bed ever! Being surrounded by fields of lambs was also so lovely. Would highly recommend!

Das Apartment von Eilis und Christopher liegt wunderschön in herrlicher Natur. Es bietet ausreichend Platz und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Eilis und Christopher sind äußerst herzliche Gastgeber. Sie kümmern sich sehr liebevoll um ihre Gäste. Es war eine wunderbare Zeit, die wir dort verbrachten. Wenn man Ruhe und Natur sucht, ist Hillside Cottage sehr zu empfehlen. Auch Cahersiveen ist schnell erreichbar. Herzlichen Dank Eilis und Christopher! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We spent 3 nights in Rory’s place. It was a terrific find. Rory greeted us with some goodies (fresh bread, butter, milk, beverages, biscuits, etc). The cottage was exactly as described and was clean, comfortable, and very well pointed. The location was ideal for us to see the sites we had on our list. Good access to Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, Gap of Dunlo, Dingle Peninsula. The kitchen was stocked with all the items we needed to do our own cooking (superior to other places we have rented). The onsite laundry was helpful. The space was a good size and included the lovely bright solarium for us to enjoy eating our meals. Rory recommended restaurants and a beautiful hiking trail down to the sea and around the local farmers fields. I would 100% stay here again if ever in the vicinity as well as recommend it to family and friends. Thank you Rory.

We had a great stay. Lovely house in a beautiful spot. Beds were so comfy and we particularly appreciated the wonderful views from the conservatory.

Great location, peaceful area, clean living space and amenities. Steven and Claire were very kind and responsive. They were very helpful to help get the hikhi hot tub started and gave lots of recommendations on what to do in the local area.

I booked this accommodation for my husband's birthday and we both loved our stay, very much. It just so happened that it was on the same weekend as the Ballydehob Jazz Festival, which was a bonus. For the most part, we were road tripping around West Cork, so when we returned to the accommodation, it was lovely to have the tranquility and the hot tub to relax in. The cottage is charming and has a very calming effect. Patricia and Chris are lovely! We highly recommend a stay here.

Great house for hosting large groups - fully stocked kitchen, vary spacious. Very clear instructions for check-in. Beautiful views from the house.

Pat and Nora were very friendly just a phone call away very helpful we were very copmfortable.We stayed last year and loved it so much we were on a return visit which we intend to do again doesnt that say a lot.All the best for now . Fond regards Margaret.

The cottage was absolutely spectacular, and exactly as described - located just inside Killarney National Park, the grounds are beautiful and it's an easy walk (or short drive) to local restaurants, shops, the INEC, and Killarney town center. The cottage itself was gorgeous and very well appointed, and we very much appreciated the small touches - some coffee, tea, and biscuits for us to enjoy! We met Eileen just after check-in, where she gave us a quick but thorough tour of the cottage and shared some great conversation about the area and the event we were in town for. Thank you so much, Eileen & John, for an excellent week and we'd love to be back!
