Lisa & Robin’s cottage is amazing. Beautiful cottage and view, it’s clean and had every thing we needed during our stay. We were lucky to have such a nice weather during our stay and was able to enjoy the outdoors a lot. We spent a lot of time by the water, fire pit and the kids loved playing at the grass area. The kids even got the chance to go kayaking for the first time. Lisa and Robin were wonderful hosts, always available to answer to any inquiries and kind enough to check on our needs. This was our 2nd stay at their place and will definitely come back again.

Peter's place was perfect for our three nights on Galiano with our dogs. The house was comfortable and the view was exceptional! We had perfect weather to enjoy the patio and veranda, and it was a great base from which to explore the island. The location on Montague Harbour provided ready access to the Provincial park and we also travelled to several other locations for hikes and beach adventures. Larry welcomed us when we arrived and was available to answer questions as needed. We will definitely stay here again on future trips to Galiano.

Beautiful quiet home. Big sunny deck lots of chairs and space for all 6 of us. Enjoyed the bbq. Private beach access. Modern clean cabin. Very comfy beds. Kids loved the bunk beds. Awesome to have access to a washer and dryer. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It’s bigger than the pictures show. Would love to come back. Highly recommend.

Gail's House is a beloved family getaway filled with quirky and interesting marine and nautical pictures and gadgets so lovingly collected. It's very comfortable and right on the dock and the views are amazing. Lucky for us, we were there in prawn season and our hosts gave us the best prawns we have ever had, fresh from the water. I want to return.

Exactly what we needed! Gleb and Maria's place was just as advertised, providing us a wonderful, peaceful getaway that allowed us to relax and surround ourselves with nature. Although you can hear the highway sometimes, it's not overly loud, and you do feel like you're out in the wilderness with nice amenities. While there was no Wi-Fi, our cell data worked great and Gleb and Maria had a large selection of movies on the TV for us. I also wanted to point out how helpful and responsive our hosts were—we aren't very familiar with RVs or glamping but they were always helpful and quick to reply.

Wonderful place for a big group to stay. 4 rooms with queen beds, each room has its own bathroom, and there’s even a common bathroom in the common area. Very clean and nice place.

What a gem of a property to stay at. The property is so well laid out and amenities are so close and convenient. The people at the resort were friendly and fun. The decor was so appealing and fit the vibe of the place so we'll. We enjoyed every second there. Thank you Cam & Carla!!

Loved the view! Quiet, clean, very well equipped kitchen. The hot tub and pool right on the ocean was pretty amazing!

This was one of the best stays in our lives. The place, the views, the feelings was something out of ordinary. We loved the place from the very first moment we found it on the Internet and loved it even more when we arrived there. I would definitely recommend this place and would really like to go back there as soon as we plan another vacation.

We had a lovely time staying in Tammy’s home. It was really clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. She is very responsive and we were able to check in a bit early on our arrival. The bed is very comfortable and there is a lovely view of the water from the patio. We would definitely stay here again! The resort has a tennis court, lots of grills, one campfire pit, dock for crabbing or boats, beach for clamming. The property is very well kept. Thanks again Tammy for such a lovely stay!

Pat's place is awesome. We, a family of four - two adults and two kids (one is at teen age and another one is younger), spent a great long weekend there. Bright, cozy condo with great view from almost any window. It fits all of us, has a nice kitchen with everything you need for your stay. Heated pool with a hot tub, which we and kids enjoyed, just downstairs. The Bay is very good for paddle boarding. We did twice over our stay. If tide is low, you can reach a tiny island where you can find lots of purple and orange sea stars, crabs, and oysters. Ladysmith and Nanaimo suggest great dinner options. Nanaimo also has a nice walkable Marina merging into Maffeo Sutton park. If you like hikes, we tried Extension Ridge Trail hike near Nanaimo and can strongly recommend it to anyone. Malahat Tower is a fun place to visit, just one hour of driving from "Inn of the Sea" resort, we've been there, and were not disappointed. Will definitely stay again at Pat's place.

The stay at Jason's was peaceful and refreshing. It's a beautiful spot and nice and clean.

The unit was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was extremely comfortable for three people with a well-appointed kitchen, large dining area, private patio and a lovely view of the water. We enjoyed using the Inn of the Sea's pool, hot tub, and communal barbecues, and watching the sun come up with our coffees down on the dock. Thank you, Genevieve, for sharing your beautiful place with us - we'll be back!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Inn of the Sea! Debbie's suite was beautifully furnished and decorated, the bed and sofas were comfy, and we loved the loft style architecture of the townhouse with skylights and tall ceilings. The partial oceanview was also lovely. We enjoyed the amenities offered, like the communal hotub and BBQs (but a set of BBQ metal tongs or flipper weren't found within the suite unfortunately). The only minor con was noticing the outdoor spaces (main and smaller decks) weren't cleaned; the leaves and dirt should've been swept and the tabletop needed wiping too. Once my husband cleaned it, the deck was more inviting and enjoyable. Overall it was a nice place to stay, with lots to explore between Nanaimo and Ladysmith.

The home was beautiful and very comfortable, we were able to unwind and relax, the ocean was beautiful.

We found ourselves in town for a family service and Fiona was the utmost kind and supportive host we could have found. The space was absolutely perfect, spotless, serene, and comfortable. It was exactly as described and made a difficult trip much more easy, especially being by the beautiful ocean. We saw a ton of wildlife so the speed limits are absolutely necessary. Thank you Fiona, we will surely be back in the future.

Stunning views, very quiet and nicely secluded. Perfect for watching marine life, we saw seals, sea lion, porpoises and lots of birds. Nice cabin style home, very comfortable.

This adorable cottage on Shawnigan Lake is one of our favourite stays ever. Impeccably appointed with spotless comfort. A real gem in the middle of a beautiful lake community. A must stay for anyone. We will be back for sure! Thanks Amanda.

Gorgeous spot and amazing view. Very isolated so if you are after quiet and tranquil beauty, this is the place for you. The bathroom was huge and the bed was super soft.

Bernadette was one of the highlights of our stay -- she and her partner Mark were warm and welcoming right from the start. Same goes for their lovely dog Ruby, and their guest dog Skip. If you are unfamiliar with the region, be sure to review the travel instructions carefully, and don't let your phone run out of battery like I did. The helpful text pre-check about coming down the driveway was great because it was all I remembered before losing battery. The unit itself was immaculate and has magical views of forest and river. In addition to a comfy cozy bed, there is a pullout couch bed which was great. The kitchen had the basics, and in addition had some basic seasonings, which is always a bonus. Bernadette showed us around the unit, showed us around the property, explained some of their story and showed us how to use the sauna, and then left us to our own devices. Perfection! I will definitely be staying here again given the opportunity, it's a great place for a quiet retreat.

Great location and a beautiful view off the water. The walking trail nearby is lovely. A quick 10-15 min drive to downtown, and right on a bus route. Shangrila is lovely and kind. I would definitely stay here again!

Stepping into to this lovely home is like jumping into a quietly luxurious nature retreat. Fantastic, friendly, and helpful host. Fantastic spot!
