Margaret was an incredibly responsive host who also popped in to say Hi and see if we had everything we needed! Thank you for the home baked treats as well. The cottage was spotless and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Margaret even provided extra wood for the open fire which was just poor bliss each evening. The area itself is stunning and so peaceful. Great for really just escaping into nature. Every room having its own bath /shower was so useful as we visited as two families with kids. The two separate lounges also meant the adults could have quiet evenings whilst the kids went a little crazy in the other lounge. The cottage is very warm and cosy. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

A fantastic last minute getaway. Everything was perfect for what we wanted and needed. Felt right at home from the minute we arrived. It was tranquillity personified, with adventure right outside the front door - Hafren Forest, the source of the River Severn and the amazing Elan Valley. Could not have asked for more - wonderful - thank you!

I lovely place to stay, and great location for walking. (I would recommend getting "Walks arounds Llanidloes" & "Walks around Rhayader" before coming - both by Kittiwake Books). And really nice being so close to the Blue Bell Inn - a friendly unpretentious pub. Will definitely return!

This cottage was perfect, it had everything you needed for a few days away. It’s in such a beautiful and peaceful location. Helen is an excellent host who always responded helpfully and quickly! The cats were great company in the garden too. I’d highly recommend staying here.
