Located in a historic 200 year old building "Ship Shape" is close to downtown but on a quiet residential street. Just one block to the library, bookstore, post office and all the lovely shops. It is on the shore of the Damariscotta River with wonderful views from inside and out.. You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood, the light, the outdoors space, and the new comfy bed. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
“Grace’s tiny bed and breakfast is a perfect place to spend some time. The view from her place looks over the Damariscotta river and walkng out the door you are literally right down town. And the best place of all is right downstairs where Grace runs her fabulous restaurant,”Savory Maine.”

“Lissette was a wonderful host to work with in every way. I was looking for a place for my 19 year old (healthy) son to stay during COVID 19, and she was extremely warm and welcoming. She was very personable and caring during a time of great stress. Because of extenuating and difficult circumstances, we wound up communicating electronically several times per day and she was extremely attentive and efficient. Prices were very reasonable and the rooms were reportedly very clean and comfortable, with warm lighting. She was very flexible and she provided an extra rolling bed for a very low fee. It was a great price for a living room and bedroom, and the location is very convenient. Highly recommend!”
The cottage is located 15 feet from the water and is a beautiful spot any time of the year.
“My husband and I just spent several days at this cottage and we had a great time. It is a very special place and we would definitely come back again. The porch is fantastic and we enjoyed sitting there early in the morning, watching the day unfold as well as viewing the sun set across the lake at night. We saw eagles fly over which was a real treat. This is a great midcoast Maine location and there are so many cute and quaint towns to visit that are within a driving distance of an hour or less.”
