  • Swiss Ball Workout with Judo Olympian
Using a Swiss Ball, we will go through how to make the session the most effective and efficient use of your body and movement all using your only your body. It starts with a warm up. Then onto a stretching segment. Cardio is next where we are in constant contact with the ball and progression points are all about the pace. We then take it to body weight strengthening exercises where just the positioning of your body on the ball will increase or decrease the intensity of the exercise. So you are in full control! After an incredible ab session, we stretch again, working on that flexibility now that we are warm. After our workout together, happy to have a chat about my Olympic experience, health, wellness and what it's like to live and love in another country. Come join me! Other things to note There is a PAR Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) to first fill out to make sure everything is hunky dory And here are some helpful tips to gauge the size of ball you will need: <5'5" = 55 cm ball >5'6" = 65 cm ball Blown up so your hips are higher than your knees when you sit on the ball

  • Basic Judo with Niki and Neil Adams
We just built our very own private dojo, where we film educational videos for the international Judo community. Now, we want to give you a private lesson on how to fall safely—it’s a technique known as “breakfalling.” This is a very useful skill especially if you’re in a place like Canada (where we’re from!), where it can get a bit icy. We’ll show you how to move your body mindfully. Then, we’ll show you grip techniques. Finally, we’ll teach you some basic throws. Our sport has a groundwork element, so we’ll show you how to secure and immobilize your partner. This is an online session for absolute beginners, so you’ll need a Zoom account to join us. No technical or tactical analysis will be done.
