Various cycling routes pass in front of the door (Freddy Maertens route (42 km), Dykes and trenches route (38 km), Mountain bike route Norbert Dedeckere (29 km), ..... Long distance cycling and hiking routes also pass nearby (LF1 and GR5A).

"De kleine glorie" is located in Snellegem, a village in the heart of the Brugse Ommeland. The perfect base for hiking and cycling in one of the numerous forests, Vloethemveld, Beisbroek or Tillegem. At 100 m, you can fish in the beautiful fishing pond. Within a 15-minute drive, you can enjoy a blissful beach walk or a dip in the sea. Combining a trip in nature with culture? De Kleine Glorie is a stone's throw from Bruges (10 km), Ostend (15 km), Ghent (50 km).

Steenuil

Enjoy the tranquility, the owl's call or the cozy cows in this quiet location surrounded by meadows and farmland. You will stay in a self-built caravan, insulated with sheep wool and equipped with a good bed and bunk bed and a cozy sitting area with a view of the meadow. Shower and toilet are in separate unit, with infrared heater. Enjoy a shower with a view of nature. Make a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the surroundings. Shops and restaurants nearby.

Wake up with a pristine wide view of the drowned meadows (Meersen) and fields; changing to the rhythm of the seasons. Enjoy the spectacle of the fluttering singing skylark, the happy chirping of swallows as night falls. Lie down on the jetty, get into the boat to just float on the natural pond. Hike, bike, swim or just do nothing.

It's a very quiet place, close to nature, in the middle of the "Monts des Flandres". Rest, hiking or sightseeing: everyone will find it's own. Near Belgium: Ypres (WW1 commemorations) at 30 min. The house is in the heart of nature: in the middle of a meadow, close to tall trees and a water point. A peaceful, relaxing place. An ideal base for hikes or to more touristic sites. Barn loft "Hoftenbogaerde" is located in Snellegem, in the flat polders of the Brugse Ommeland. The renovated koestal is the ideal place to unwind in nature, to telework on location -with view- or to discover the surroundings by bike or on foot. The beautiful Bruges and the coast are only 10 and 15 kilometers. We are happy to share our pool with our guests, provided some consultation!(May- Sept)
