Beach house holiday rentals in Dunfanaghy

Myself and family,6 adults 2 children spent a weekend here, everything about this property was absolutely amazing, the house was very modern and furnished to an exceptionally high standard, the beds were super comfortable, as in deed was the soft furnishings, and all the modern kitchen appliances, all off this made for a very pleasant and memorable weekend, and of course the proximity to the beach and its stunning views, and finally to our host who was very welcoming and helpful at all times,could not give this property and its location any higher recommendation, if in donegal look it up,

We had an incredible few days in Malin Head at Radharc Banbha. The location exceeded our expectations - it was beyond peaceful and picturesque. We could see waves crashing on the shore and sheep happily wandering around the fields. The local hiking and history were absolutely fantastic, as were the nearby pub and restaurant. We'd wanted to give our kids a feel for the Irish countryside, and Radharc Banbha delivered that in a most magical way. Geraldine was easy to coordinate with and left lovely touches to welcome us. We wound up arriving very late, and Geraldine wonderfully offered us a late checkout to offset that when we were leaving, which was really appreciated as no one wanted to leave this perfect spot!! We felt at home immediately and everyone wants to go back again soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cashel Cottage. The location was fantastic, minutes from the beach yet also feeling nice and private. Also a very easy walk into Buncrana along the lovely waterside path. We hope to be back!

Mary’s place was absolutely stunning. Great views, lovely location. The place was immaculately clean and well equipped. Near lots of beaches, walks, view points. Would recommend!

Had a lovely week with family in the beautiful cottage. check in instructions were straightforward. Cottage itself is situated in a peaceful and beautiful setting overlooking the atlantic Ocean. Rooms were comfortable and felt total relaxed during our stay. Would recommend this beautiful accomodation for family or a group of friends who would like to get away from it all. Amazing restaurants and the town of Dungloe is 15 minutes drive away.

This was our 2nd time staying at The Old Post Office. Natalie was a fantastic host. Very quick to respond to questions and queries. The house was brilliant. There were 17 of us and we had plenty of space. The games room was a real hit with the kids. The kitchen has everything you need and the wood burning stove made the house very cosy. This year we also made use of the BBQ and again plenty of seats/table space outside to accommodate everyone. There are beautiful views of the beach and you are only a couple of mins walk from the village. The harbour bar is definitely worth a visit. Overall a fantastic house in a beautiful area with a first class host. would highly recommend

Six girlfriends stayed for three nights in this beautiful home. Julion was so helpful and accommodating. This accommodation is perfect for friends to gather. There is plenty of space, well-appointed rooms, and extra touches. For us, we wanted to walk and swim, and this was perfect with access to the beach and outside hot shower. We even used the sauna a few times, too. We had a lovely girlie night, pampering and watching movies. The kitchen was great, perfect for us all to sit and dine in whilst watching the sunset. I would strongly recommend this place for a girls' trip/retreat. Dunfanaghy is excellent for restaurants and drinks and is walkable from the house. NONE of us could find a fault with the house, though it did take us a few tries using the Quooker tap. We will be back and some of the girls are considering booking again for a family trip. It’s a beautiful house in an amazing location, just a short walk down to Dooey Beach. The house was very stylish and comfortable and very well equipped. The views of the beach and surrounding area are absolutely stunning. We really enjoyed our meal and live music at McCafferty’s pub and especially the beach sauna pod and swimming in the sea. A wonderful place to experience the Wild Atlantic Way!

This house is the ideal airbnb when staying in the Buncrana area. It’s walkable to a plethora of bars and restaurants, within reasonable driving distance to a lot of activities/sights, and the host is wonderful!

Sharon and Joe were so kind. From the welcome charcuterie board, to a picture perfect home - everything about the Wee House was comfort and coziness. The beach is just a short walk away. The scenery on all the drives is achingly beautiful. Not to mention, all the local recs from Sharon and Joe, their availability for a chat or helpful tips, and how many folks around town knew of them and called them “good people.” Just a perfect place for a Donegal vacation.

Had a wonderful stay at Sean and Sharon’s house. Everything was as described and more. The location and setting was wonderful. Sean and Sharon were wonderful host and responded quickly to any queries and requests. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to return.

I recently stayed at this incredible Airbnb and can’t recommend it enough! The views were absolutely breathtaking, with panoramic landscapes that felt like something out of a dream. The location was perfect, just a short drive to nearby towns with fantastic bars, restaurants, and stunning beaches. The home itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. If you're looking for a peaceful escape with easy access to everything, this is the place to be! We will 100% be booking again!

This was our first visit to Ireland, and John's place was the cherry on top. The view is so so so beautiful! I particularly enjoyed the design of the upstairs of this home. Extremely uncluttered, modern aesthetic. Just wonderful. In all my travels, though, the factor that always makes or breaks a stay is the host, and this was no different. John's thoughtful communication made a wonderful stay even more wonderful. Book this place!

Great dog friendly caravan, view is absolutely amazing. Stayed there for 2 nights,beach really close,pubs and restaurants short drive distance, place is like described with everything needed for relaxing stay (and little extras like coffee/tea/milk/buiscits..) Rory was really good at responding to any questions we had. We'll miss that view for sure and their doggie too ;) Would 100% come back again.

Patricks house was better than expected. The photos do not do it justice at all. It is beautiful inside and out. It has quick access to the beach and mccaffertys bar for food and Elliot’s for entertainment. John is very knowledgeable about the local area and always responsive. Do not hesitate to pick here!!!

Large and well maintained property in a great location. Walking distance to shops, pubs and a lovely beach for dog walks. Large garden with lovely deck was perfect for sitting in the sunshine and admiring the view. Dunfanaghy is a great place to base yourself for exploring the North West of Donegal and I’d thoroughly recommend Tara’s place

We had a lovely May Bank Holiday weekend at Christine's place. Everything you need is in. Spacious living room with beautiful view, well equipped kitchen to prep meals for us and kids. Firepit outside to enjoy smores in the evening. House was clean and well prepared for group of 3 families with kids. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Jude and Chris’ house. It was absolutely beautiful and in a great location with stunning views. Walking distance from the beach which was ideal as we had our 3 year old and 1 year old boys with us. Jude was so kind and friendly. We cannot wait to stay again.

Zara's place in Narin is absolutely stunning. The house itself is picture perfect, pristine and so comfortable. The pictures and description didn't do it justice. We felt so at home and it had everything we needed and more. The sauna was to die for!! This place is a 5 minute walk from one of our favourite beaches on the island. Zara and her partner we extremely helpful, so responsive and everything was made easy for us. We could not have asked for more from a rental house. Thanks so much for having us!

The most amazing house we've stayed in to date. The views from the house are heavenly and the pictures don't do it justice. Being able to walk across the garden to the beach is amazing. Great facilities in the house. The house was always warm. We've stayed in Downings numerous times but the location of this house is perfect. The views are outstanding and being able to walk to the pub, cafes, hotels and shop etc is a major bonus for Donegal. It's also pet friendly which is fantastic and the house has gates on the stairs so the dogs can't wander. The hosts couldn't be more helpful and responsive to any queries. Can't wait to go back again!

This accommodation is perfectly situated on the outskirts of Buncrana. Buncrana seamlessly accessible by foot. Beautiful beach or heritage walks on the door step with coffee docks conveniently located near the property. House is new build, very modern, spacious and comfortable. Ideal for large groups and families. Cannot recommend enough.

This was our second time staying in Ger’s place and it was fantastic. House was perfect, enclosed garden was great for our dog and location was ideal with great pubs, restaurants and beaches. We will definitely be back again.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this cozy and spacious home! The house was perfect for our family—plenty of room for the kids to run around and play both inside and out, which made a big difference during our trip. The highlight for us was the breathtaking ocean view right from the house—waking up to that every morning was a treat! At night, the clear skies made for some incredible stargazing—something we don’t get to enjoy often back home. Des and Angela were incredibly courteous and checked in regularly to make sure we were comfortable, which we really appreciated. The house had a warm, welcoming vibe and was well-equipped for a relaxed stay. Highly recommended for families looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of magic!
