This cute white cottage with a thatched roof is like from a fairy tale book! As if you really live in authentic Giethoorn. (North) The boats can be rented from the neighbors and the beautiful bridges can be found only a 6-minute walk away. This is where Giethoorn originated, and the oldest cottages line the path. Without crowds of tourists. (They’re in Giethoorn Zuid.) Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquillity and beauty of the historic village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

This comfortable holiday home, with an enclosed garden, is located right on the Drents-Friese Wold. The house is in a park with no facilities/entrance gate or rules. The houses at the park are both permanently inhabited and rented for vacation. You can go hiking, cycling and mountain biking in the area to your heart's content. Cities such as Assen, Leeuwarden and Groningen are easily accessible. The house is complete and stylishly furnished and invites you to relax with a book by the fireplace.

The Landzicht is a great starting point to explore the area. Located near nature reserves, Drachten and the A7.

The historic bakery from 1663 in Wergea is 15 minutes by car from the center of Leeuwarden. The house is completely restored and equipped with all the comforts. The decor is a combination of warm colors, materials, modern and classic furniture, with many home accessories. It is often compared to a Charles Dickens atmosphere. Our house is a small but very nice house. From the jetty, you can board the boat and sail towards the Frisian lakes. The house is very quiet and is equipped with every comfort. You can stay comfortably with 4 people at the Wjitteringswei. The beds are wonderful. They are now set up as a double bed but can also be set up as 4 single beds. Wi-Fi is of course also available. And above all, a fantastic view. Check-in from 3 p.m. and check-out until 12 p.m.

The Carriage House near Leeuwarden

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.

Cozy cottage, detached in central location from the Frisian village of Warten. Surrounded by water and nature, it offers a perfect starting point for cycling trips, hikes and water sports e.g. in the nature reserve "De Alde Feanen". The surrounding villages and towns, which convince by their Frisian charm, can be reached within a few km. The house was built in 1917 and is designated as an urban monument in November 2025.

At the edge of National Park Weerribben-Wieden, lies our holiday home located on the meadows. Enjoy nature and tranquility, but also a perfect base for exploring the Weerribben-Wieden. The towns of Kalenberg, Blokzijl, Giethoorn and Dwarsgracht are within cycling distance. Or rent a boat to view the Weerribben from the water.
