This area is also a mecca for river play, with plenty of activities such as rafting, canoeing, and shower climbing. A convenience store and supermarket are 5 minutes by car, the tourist attraction Montbell Park is 10 minutes by car, and Kochi city center and Iya Valley can be reached in about 60 minutes. It is the perfect base for traveling in Shikoku. Guest House Agae is a renovated traditional house that can only accommodate one group at a time. It is in a very convenient location, about 550 m (about 7 minutes on foot) to Kumano Kodo and Kinkou Oji, a supermarket (A-COOP), a bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu), and restaurants (Shoji Teahouse and Tororo-ya). The owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, so we will do our best to accommodate your questions and advice about walking the Kumano Kodo, as well as pick-up and drop-off when you need it. We can also provide personal guides, so please let us know. Prices do not include meals.
