'A day like a gift' is an experience-type accommodation located in the forest at the top of Domaryeong (700m above sea level) in Minjujisan, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. We have remodeled a wooden house (Dalbat House, 2005) and a family-built earthen house (So Young Hall, 2006) for our elderly parents, so that only one team of guests can stay in the entire house. Recently, a tree house (Wol Forest House, 2024) was built on a 6-7 meter-high Japanese cedar tree in the Wol Forest, and this can also be experienced for free. The experience is divided into traditional cultural experiences and ecological experiences, which are offered in a variety of paid and free experiences. The mud house was built with wood, earth, and stone from the moon field, like the mountain village of our ancestors. You can experience lighting a fire in a traditional house, where you can feel the wisdom of a house that is cool and warm. Log cabin in the secret garden in the North Country

The house is located in a quiet villa area, a few minutes drive from Mizu-no-Eki, on the north side of Lake Toya. You can see the lake view from the second floor of the house, and you can see the fireworks in the onsen town every day in the summer. The best part is the large, completely private garden. There are various types of flowers, trees, and fruits, so you can enjoy the scenery in all seasons, and there are also tables, chairs, and umbrellas, so you can relax in the garden. There is a municipal hot spring, Ikoi-no-Ie, located nearby (1 minute by car). You can enjoy the scenery of Lake Toyako and the hot spring baths fed by the source spring for 450 yen. You can stay with your★ pet (dogs only). The garden is a lawn, so please use it as a dog run that you have to yourself. It is about a 7-minute walk to the lake, so it is also in a good location for a relaxing stroll.

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
