just got home after spending 4 relaxing nights at the log cabin. Beautiful location so peaceful and tranquil. Hazel left a lovely welcome package which was much appreciated! Hot tub was fab to relax in and lovely and private as was the Sauna. Bed was very comfy and plenty of space in the whole cottage. The shower was amazing so powerful. if you book to stay here you will not be disappointed will definitely go back again!

Cottage with optional extra of wood fired hot tub

RosRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very well designed cottage making the best possible use of quite a small space - with both a shower room and bathroom , utility room as well as kitchen/living space and the patio with hot tub. Although near to the High Street with a range of takeaways and a superb butcher (Hunters) the cottage is in a very quiet street. The nearby Curate Wynd free car park was very handy and we could unload from there. Although Dawn and Darren were away Dawn was on hand to answer any queries. We had a great three day break - spending the days at the RSPB Nature Reserve in stunning weather. We ate out one night at the Balgedie Toll Tavern - highly recommended for great food and very good service.

Pentland Hills cottage hideaway

CarolineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wonderful stay. The location is absolutely superb. What amazing views and so peaceful and remote. Sitting in the hot tub looking out over the hills was pure bliss!! And the stars you could see on a clear night, wow. Despite being so remote it’s close enough to Edinburgh that you can drive in and do all the attractions. So just perfect. Kylie was a fab host too, leaving Easter eggs for the kids and letting the kids feed her kunekune pig one day! The animals are great, especially Karen then hen, although she will come inside if allowed haha! All in all, we had a fantastic stay. Thank you Kylie

We had an absolutely lovely time at Ali's place. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Hot tub and garnden really make the place with stunning views. Easy access to Edinburgh by train and car and also the Fife coastal path. We loved it! would be very happy to return again one day. Ali was the perfect host.

Appletree Cottage, Williamscraig, Linlithgow

HeatherRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely few days, staying at Appletree Cottage, with our two grandchildren aged 6 and 3. The cottage was very comfy and well equipped, and ideally suited our needs. Good location for many attractions such as Blair Drummond Safari Park, Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. We were lucky to have good weather so the excellent play area and hot tub were much enjoyed each day. Would definitely recommend booking.

Pondfield Cottage, Gifford

PaulRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We’re a group of 5 adults and 2 cocker spaniels and have just returned from a lovely short stay at Pondfield Cottage, Gifford. The cottage was immaculately clean with 3 large double bedrooms and a lovely enclosed garden for the dogs to play in. The lounge was comfortable and cosy with a wood burning stove and a selection of DVDs, books and board games. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need with some lovely little unexpected touches like a spice rack. The location of the cottage is next door to an equine centre and horses are regularly walked past the house which was lovely to see. One small issue we experienced was resolved immediately, even though it was Easter Sunday, which demonstrated exceptional service from the owner. We would certainly recommend this property.

Tranquil cottage with spectacular sea views

SaraiRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had such a lovely stay in Norman and Maja's cottage - the scenery was stunning, such an amazing view from the cottage! Great woodland walks around the cottage itself and only a short drive from several beaches and local sights. The cottage itself was as described, it had everything we could've needed and everything was exceptionally clean and well organised - and we loved the rustic aesthetic. We particularly enjoyed being able to fire up the log burner on a slightly cooler evening. The hosts were really helpful and responsive, including on our day of arrival, and they provided clear instructions for the property - and their recommendations of things to do and where to eat locally were fab! We've said that we will definitely be back to stay again, thank you

Abbeymill Farm Cottage

BrianRating, 5 stars1 week ago
So glad we managed to come back for another short break. Cottage is so atmospheric, extremely comfortable and in an idyllic spot. So peaceful and relaxing. Yet, just a short drive to Haddington and easy to get into Edinburgh by car, bus or train. Highly recommend Ozy’s Kitchen in Haddington for breakfast/lunch - friendly staff and great food. Cannot recommend the cottage highly enough. Stay there if you can!

Garden Cottage

TimRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Spent a week in Eileen’s beautiful Garden Cottage in March. Perfect location in centre of Haddington so I was 10 mins away from my parents, yet it was quiet and peacefully located down a leafy lane with no passing traffic. Easy parking. Easy to find, excellent directions. Cottage is really nicely decorated and very comfortable. Really appreciated having plenty of large fluffy bathroom towels, good quality toiletries, lovely hot shower and plenty of coffee making equipment! Kitchen well equipped. All in all an excellent little hidey hole for two people and we’ll definitely be back.

Traditional 2 bedroom cottage, sea view & parking

JenniferRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was our third stay at The Wee Hoose, and it was as wonderful as ever. Centrally located and just the right size for our family of four. Clean, quiet, and equipped with everything we could need for our self-catering holiday. The perfect home away from home. We also really appreciated the insider-tips for our kids, about the Easter trail and the new playground. It’s this thoughtfulness that sets The Wee Hoose apart. Would not hesitate to visit again.
