Where do we even begin? From the moment we arrived, it felt like staying with long-lost relatives who actually like you. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with thoughtful touches that screamed, ‘We’re overachievers, but in a good way.’ The hosts went above and beyond in ways that felt almost suspicious. We opened the fridge to find bubbly waiting for us (are we royalty now?), and there were chocolates on the counter like they somehow knew our love language. As if that wasn’t enough, we spent an unforgettable evening soaking in the hot tub while it snowed, overlooking the most serene lake view we’ve ever seen. It was like being in a Hallmark movie but without the small-town drama. Every detail was so thoughtful, from the cozy blankets to the recommendations that made us feel like locals. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience we’ll be talking about for years. If you’re considering booking, do it. Just don’t book the weekend we want to come back, okay?

Daniel’s communication was excellent. The check in and check out proses was clearly explained and an easy process. The lake is beautiful. It was cold during our visit so we didn’t get to utilize the outside area, but I can see how amazing and fun it could be. The location is great with restaurants and grocery stores all within a few miles. And easy and close access to the express way. The place was clean and cozy. It was perfect for what we needed it for. My husband and I picked Patricia’s place because of the fun game room she had downstairs-and I’m sure glad we did! Our family of 6 had a wonderful time playing pool, air hockey, shuffle board, ping pong and PINBALL!!! There was also a nice quiet study room upstairs where the kids could still participate in their online classes without missing a beat. Every space was so beautifully decorated and spacious it really felt peaceful. We were visiting in the winter so the cozy propane fireplace was a hit as well. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful stay here for my 6 year anniversary with my girlfriend. Loved the bath and bathroom in general the tv was a nice touch. Bed was very comfortable, slept amazing. Beautiful view of the sunrise in the morning off the lake. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you for a great airbnb stay!

This was our third year staying at Chris’s cottage. The cottage was spotless as always, equipped with snacks, water, plenty of towels and amenities. The cottage is on Fish Lake, beautiful and peaceful but also fun to watch all of the water activities and wildlife. The weather was perfect. The mark of a fantastic place and location is never having to turn on the TV to pass the time. We will be back next year if it’s available! Thank you, Chris!

The cabin was exactly as described. There were only 3 of us in our group, and we had plenty of space to move around. The kitchen area had everything we needed. Our favorite place on the property was the hot tub, deck overlooking the lake and the fire pit-- and basically ALL of the outdoor amenities. We loved sitting around the fire watching the stars.

Our second visit! The lake and cottage are so quite and chill, it checked all our boxes for a great weekend. It's close to Hastings for us to do a bike race this weekend. The deck has been updated and a rockstar experience. The cottage is clean with plenty of amenities. It's truly an at home experience and Jason is fab on messages. We added an extra night on this visit since our plans changed. Next time we need to stay for a few weeks, that's for sure! Till next time...

We held our Annual EMU friend reunion here so we would have a place to hang out after touring, going to a game, and visiting our old stomping grounds. Chris is a gracious host with a beautiful lake home. Unfortunately, 3 members of our group had medical issues which interfered with their being able to stay, which affected our cost, but we all said it was still worth dividing their portions up and paying the extra. The home is well appointed and stocked with wonderful kitchen amenities. We cooked 3 meals and had a great time in that kitchen. The sleeping spaces were very comfortable and the entire house was nice and clean. Thank you for all you do to make this Airbnb a home away from home!

My wife and I stayed at Chris’s apartment for a wedding in Adrian, MI, and it was a perfect retreat. Arriving at 9PM after a long travel day, we settled in easily. The next morning revealed a peaceful country setting—quiet, with birds singing, ideal for coffee outdoors. The apartment was clean, as pictured, with a well-equipped kitchen (coffee maker, stove, microwave, fridge, dishes) and a spotless bathroom with ample towels. The bed was comfy, wifi reliable, and it’s just 20 minutes from Adrian. Chris was friendly but unobtrusive. Highly recommend!
