Unwind at this lakefront retreat. The cabin is very private and comfortable. It is an excellent spot for swimming, boating and sunsets. There are 2 SUP's, a double kayak, a single kayak, and lifejackets. No fires or activities in the woods until Oct 15 unless the NS gov’t lifts the present restrictions! Note: The cabin is well insulated and is heated by wood stove alone. If interested in booking between Oct. and May you must be proficient using a wood stove. Please message if this is the case.

Birch Burn Retreat, a former 19th-century church, offers a tranquil escape with forest walks, hammock relaxation and firepit nights. It has electricity, heat pump, wifi, and a simple kitchen with a mini fridge. Accommodations include double/queen beds for four adults or a larger family with camp cots. This property features a 6 person hot tub only meters from over 100 ft of pristine lake front. My cottage is very modern and unique; it sits on a private 5 acre lot surrounded by woods overlooking Middle lake with stunning sunrises. Enjoy being engulfed by nature with the comfort of everyday amenities including a hot tub and even an arcade with over 800 retro games! The dock and canoe at the lake are available for use during the summer months but will be removed in October until spring. Ski Martock/Ontree, Bent Ridge Winery are within a 10min drive from Chalet Hamlet.

If you are looking for a quiet getaway that's close to biking/hiking trails (accessible off the back of the property) and close to some of the best beaches in Nova Scotia than this is the ideal location.
