Escape the ordinary and relax in our quaint, rustic cottage with private beach, directly in front of the legendary Five Islands along the Glooscap Trail. Be mesmerized by the dramatic (and world's highest) Bay of Fundy tides during the day and the stars overhead at night - all right at your doorstep.
“We loved this little cottage so much, that we already planning to come back. The place is quiet and the view from the cottage is very beautiful as it is right on the shore of the Bay of Fundy. So you can watch the tides coming and going which is fascinating. You can even dig some clams at the low tide – the mudflats are right in front of the house. The owners, Wendy and Harold are great people, who made us feel so welcomed. The location is great – it is close to Parrsboro, to its little shops and restaurants, 10 minutes from Five Islands Provincial park and within reasonable distance from Advocate harbor, Cape d’Or and cape Chignecto Provincial Park. We would highly recommend this little gem to everybody who wants to get a real feel of Nova Scotia.”
Five Islands is known for its great fishing and clam digging. Striped bass are caught right on the beach here. Experience the highest tides in the world and lots of places to hike and rockhound. Joggins Fossil Cliffs are nearby. Other attractions include the Lighthouse Park, Five Islands Provincial Park, and the Geological Museum. There are also antique shops, good restaurants and art shops.
“Booked on short notice for a weekend of hiking and kayaking. Located in an RV park, so the people around will impact your stay, but everyone was friendly during ours. Great view of the islands and tides, and lots to see and do in the area for nature lovers.”
Two bedroom house recently renovated. Beautiful seaside cottage in rural N.S. French patio doors leading to 12' x 12' deck. Fire pit. Clamming / fishing / beach combing (fossils, etc)!! Breath taking view of the Minas Basin. Sit on the deck and watch the eagles glide by. Golf course located 4 km away. Pub / convenience store (NSLC)/ gas (24/7) 5 km away. Very central location, approximately 1 hour to Halifax / Truro or Wolfville. 35 minutes from Windsor. Highest tides in the world.
“Sherry's place is excellent. The house is beautiful, right on the water (tide was low when we arrived so we walked along the beach for quite a while). Her house was super clean, cozy, with really wonderful touches and decor. We would definitely stay here again. Sherry was super easy to communicate with.”
