“If you are looking for a fancy resort hotel this is not the place. If you love the water, fishing, and the laid back lifestyle then yes. The black water siren restaurant/bar is right by the boat and the food is good! I surprised my boyfriend for his 40th birthday and he couldn’t have been happier. The provided paddle boat and kayaks were a bonus. We took the paddle boat and our own fishing poles and actually caught a 17” sheepshead and snapper that we had for dinner. There are fishing poles and some tackle provided but we didn’t use them. The water is clear and we can actually see the fish swimming underneath the deck by the boat! The only downside was the boat toilet was out of commission but we were told before we arrived. We had access to the marina bathroom which was fine and just a minor inconvenience. There is a screened in area on the boat, but I would advised bringing some mosquito repellant as they are rampant. The hosts were very responsive to messages and phone calls and we were walked through everything via phone when we arrived . We would for sure come back when possibly. It was the perfect little 2 day getaway for a water loving couple.”

“Very unique experience, we enjoyed our “glamping”. Check-in process was very easy, and we found Kristy to be friendly and helpful with advice on things to do in the area. Pack less than you think you need, the inside of the cabin does not store much, and you really don’t need much more than your camera, something to drink & eat. It was cold “ish” weather when we were there, (high of 69) so we were happy the cabin was warm. Bring some extra flashlights, we played cards inside the cabin, and when sundown is at 6:30, it gets dark early, you will like the extra light!! I was pleasantly surprised to find a french press, so we boiled water on the grill and had hot coffee in the mornings :-) Dinghy was easy to drive and the Blackwater Siren had great food plus $2 Bud Lights all day, every day. If you like camping and you like the ocean, this is an experience you will enjoy!”
