The approx. 30m2 apartment is located directly in Stein's old town - an ideal location for a visit to the various museums close by or a day trip with one of the many ships up the Danube valley - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition, the vibrant city centre of Krems with its coffee shops, confectionaries and bars and the Campus Krems are within walking distance.

Flat in an old farmhouse

We turned an old stable into an apartment. We tried to preserve the atmosphere of the place. The flat is located in the courtyard of a renovated old farm where we are living ourselves (parents and 2 children). The area is called the Wagram, 3 km away from the Danube and around 50 km away from the center of Vienna. Animals are also part of the family; one cat and a chicken with whom you are welcome to interact. However, they are not allowed in the flat :-)

This small apartment next to the school and the church in Mühlbach is a wonderful starting point for excursions of all kinds in our beautiful area. Nature and tranquility, wine and wine culture – depending on the season and schedule, both the municipality and excursion destinations in the nearby area (e.g. Kamptal, Grafenegg, Eggenburg) have a lot to offer. Or nothing – if you prefer that. ;-)

Due to the positive experiences as Airbnb hosts, we converted the smallest barn on our property into a tiny house in 2020-2022. We planned and built everything ourselves and hope our guests will feel comfortable and enjoy their time in Krems and the Wachau! Das Haus lebt, daher sind Geräusche (zb Holzwurm) und Tierbesuch (zB Marienkäfer) möglich.

The property is located in the basement of my private house. You have your own entrance and privacy is of great importance. Free parking is available just a 2-minute walk from the property. Located in an idyllic cellar lane, but only 5 minutes' walk from the train station, is this unique accommodation. The garden consists of several levels and is beautifully integrated into the cellar alley. It is a particularly quiet location, as a forest begins behind the house and the cellar lane is hardly used.
