Cabin holiday rentals in French River

From my time conversing with Jocelyn around planing our trip I found her to be a very kind, responsive, and receptive host. As for our stay at The Athena Cabin. It was picturesque and wonderfully cozy for our group of 10. The rent was a little expensive for us, however no part of our experience felt cheap. The kitchen is well stocked. The house was spotless. The neighbours were friendly. The only problem my group had was our lack of preparation for the lack of potable drinking water (2024), which that was easily remedied by a trip to a near by grocery store mentioned by a provided list of important near by locations. Overall, I think the cabin is well worth the price for anyone who can fill it up and is looking for a classier getaway. Everyone in my group had a great time staying here and we would love to come again in the future. P.S - Something she doesn’t mention is how pretty the sunsets is on the lake. It was so beautiful we all went out to see.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage! The jacuzzi and sauna were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The peaceful surroundings made it a great escape from the city. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

My husband and I spent a few nights here and it was fantastic. Brad and Erin were friendly and very responsive! The cottage was everything we were looking for. Quant, private, hot tub, on the lake, pet friendly. What more could you ask for? Highly, highly recommend!

Host made sure we had everything we needed. Lots of games and activities for the kids, all our questions were answered ahead of time. Very positive experience, will recommend to friends!

My family had the perfect weekend getaway at the Hemlock Hideway Waterfront. The cottage is beautiful and is very nicely decorated. It is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed our meals together in the dining room, sitting in the sun on the private sandy beach, hanging out in the large family room and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. The water view from almost every room is breathtaking. Christine is a wonderful host responding quickly to any questions I had. We made some great family memories and would love to return.

Lesley was a fabulous host. Our family totally enjoyed our time staying right on the rivers edge with a stunning view. The cabin and bunkie have a cozy vibe but tons of room for our extended family. There are lots of amenities to enjoy creating a great getaway. It was a special experience- the setting, the peace and the memories made. Can’t wait to return!

Can't say enough praise about this place. I was on the fence when booking this because it was 4 to 5 hour drive from Toronto and we only had 3 day weekend to spare. When we arrived at the place we were astonished by the beauty of it. The place sits on the waterfall between 2 lakes. We were using a canoe and kayaks to explore both lakes. We hiked 2 trails. The nights there are amazing and you can see all the stars. We were offered some fresh harvest from the vegetable garden. We used sauna at night and briefly jumped in to the hot tub. Having neighbors cabins close to ours we were not bothered by any of this, despite some reviews saying that it was noisy. We were absolutely happy in our say. 10/10 would book again if I'm on the east coast of Canada and have a weekend to spare. I wish we could stay there more. Patrick and Amy were friendly and helpful, we had great chats and saw each other on the trails.

I absolutely loved staying at Andrea’s cabin. It was so clean and well appointed. The beds were incredibly comfortable. It was cosy and warm… Absolutely everything was perfect. Thank you so much for hosting. My only tip is to make sure you bring your own shampoo and conditioner and body soap as there was none provided, and I didn’t notice that in the listing! Otherwise, I had absolutely everything I needed.

We had a wonderful winter cottage stay. The place is very cozy, well equipped with everything you would ever need. Incredible clean and organized. Comfortable beds and a great property. The hosts are very kind and responsive. 100% would recommend!

Robert and Nicole were super friendly upon arrival. They showed us the place and things to do and explained everything perfectly! The outdoor shower was a 10/10 experience. I feel that everyone should stay here at least once!

I cannot say enough nice things about my stay at the cabin in Kearney. It was the perfect blend of rustic and modern. The home is obviously well loved and meticulously cared for. It’s tucked away in a woodsy nook and when I arrived it was made even more charming covered in feet of snow. Even so, the driveway was plowed and the outside lights were on the greet me. The kitchen has everything you need including some basic spices . My bed was also super comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Teddy was very easy to work with and gave clear instructions for the cabin. When I got a little lost on the way in he was right there online, ready to help. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I can't thank Tiffany and Pat enough for being amazing hosts and helping me through a difficult time. I stayed there on two separate occasions. The location of the house is right on the lake and sitting and watching the sun rise was beautiful. Narrows Convience Store is down the street and so is Mikisew Provinvial Park. The house has all the amenities (more than any other Airbnb I have stayed at). I would rats it more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks again so much!

Patricia was a helpful host, very friendly and accommodating. Her place was peaceful, had a beautiful lake view. It was cute, cozy with rustic vibes. It was clean, organized, and had everything we needed. Also, the location is close to Screaming Heads and different hiking trails perfect for seeing the autumn foliage.

An absolutely stellar place to get away from it all. The lake, just steps from the door, was beautiful and the small mouth bass we caught, tasty! We took our two older pups and they give it two paws up. They highly recommend lounging on the back deck to watch the ducks and beavers go by. We definitely recommend getting out on the water, looking back at the cabin you get to see just how amazing it all is. While rustic, Paul & Tannis have created an inviting space worth visiting...again and again.

Really nice spot - perfect for a weekend getaway. Space was clean, had all the necessitiies and extras. Great location in a small community, but lots of great food options and local shops to explore. The dinner menu at Lakehouse Bistro was amazing.

This was a beautiful cottage right by the lake! Joyce and Ed were great with everything that we needed. I recommend this stay!

We had a great stay at Katie's place. It was a great quiet getaway to relax with plenty of activities close by. The place was very clean and well furnished and made for a very welcoming stay. Katie and Dave were very kind and helpful making sure we had everything we needed for the stay. Would recommend this as a great place to stay for anyone.

If you are looking for a place that is cozy and quiet, and if you want to enjoy Canada's nature this is the perfect stay. The forest and lake are beautiful. Hosts Kathy and Michael are very kind and helpful and the cabin has all the basics for a comfortable stay. My partner and I enjoyed our 4 day at the cabin a lot!

It was 5 stars for us . Not likely 5 stars for others . But differnt strokes for differnt folks . We had a great time and its a beautiful spot . We will definitely return

Ali’s place was a perfect spot for a winter weekend getaway. Beautiful cabin in a great location, close to ski trails and ice fishing. The place is well stocked and Ali was very helpful with communication. Would absolutely stay here again.

We spent labor day weekend at the bunkie and absolutely loved it! It had everything we need with incredible views. The outdoor shower was lovely.

This place is so amazing that we booked for next summer already! Little gem for families. Very secluded and peaceful.
