Casa do Sapateiro

Welcome to Casa do Sapateiro! This green retreat is located in a small village at the foot of Serra dos Candeeiros, an hour's drive from Lisbon. It invites you to enjoy the surrounding calm, cool off in the pool, read a book in the patio room amidst the plants, or have a glass of wine in front of the large fireplace. Being an old house integrated into the village, it was renovated in 2007 and since then enriched by the affection of my parents who made it a true green oasis overlooking the mountains.

Pátio D'Aldeia house is in the village of Alcobertas in the Natural Park of Serra de Aire e Candeeiros. With a vast cultural and landscape heritage to explore, the place is great for families or groups of friends who enjoy nature and/or want to explore important historical cities around. Classified as a national monument, this emblematic mill of Peniche had, since 1895 and for decades, agricultural and industrial use. Currently, completely renovated and known as “Abrigo do Moleiro,” it is a welcoming space for tourists from all over the world, providing unique memories to those who stay overnight. The old mill is a mill over 400 years old, built by the Cistercian monks of Alcobaça. In the Old Mill, you can enjoy moments of rest in the countryside.
