Picturesque, Historic Villa with Island Views

Gaze over stunning 180-degree views of islands on Lago Maggiore from the expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows of this lovely, 230-year-old rustic stone villa. Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

Just 25 km from Varese and 35 km from Lugano is the “Casa dell'acero rosso”, the ideal home for your vacation. It is located about a hundred meters from the village of Arcumeggia at 600 meters above sea level in the Varese Prealps. It is a house with a separate entrance and private garden; on the ground floor there is a covered terrace with a lovely wooden table and, on the first floor, a large balcony with a comfortable table for dining during summer evenings.

From Maccagno, by boat, you can reach the most important places of the lake both Italian and Swiss.
